Whistleblower can stay in Russia for 3 more years

Forgot to add that Russia is playing a political game and by keeping him in limbo for as long as they can, they hope to drum up more support for him back in America, therefore scoring political points themselves and hopefully damaging the government that much more.
Still, they should let him know sooner than another 3 years where he stands.

Asylum is normally given a lot sooner than 4 years so hopefully Russia will do the right thing by this man and put him out of his misery and grant him asylum.
