Police official "taking lie detector test"

Criminal Police Administration (UKP) chief Rodoljub Milović is on Wednesday taking a polygraph test, as announced by Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović.

Oh my this is news to me.I never heard of a police official having to take a lie detector or polygraph test.

In this article I read that lie detector or polygraph tests are inadmissible in Serbian courts so how come? Is it because lie detectors or polygraphs are deemed unreliable? Someone want to explain why.
