As will Serbia. They lost Kosovo and the Nis oil refinery and will get nothing in return. Anyway, Chetniks are anti-European.

I expect them to postpone the decision for 6 more months. Albania (if it ever joins) will join probably do so 10 or 20 years after Montenegro and Serbia join (in 2020-2022). And even after Macedonia (which will take 5 years to solve its naming dispute with Greece) joins (in 2025) and Bosnia (which will take 10 years to become a functioning country) too (and join in around 2030).
The EU is not really keen to have such a messed up third world starving Muslim country as its member!

Good, Albania will join fairly quickly with Serbia and Montenegro. Can't say the same for the rest.

Um sorry but that's not right. As for your FYROMANIA you guys will probably never join anything and soon will be non existent.

Albania is a NATO member and the future energy hub for the region (see TAP). FYROM on the other hand... , needs to find a name and a history for itself.

the ego of some is truly a thing to behold. the very people who decry EU membership as a waste of time, are disappointed that a particular state should be recommended to be granted candidate status. so what is it, you feel European, don't want to be EU members but get disenchanted when others get a glimpse of membership to a club you want nothing to do with?

What about Serbia and its minorities? Already Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia (maybe others too) have stated they will fight for the rights of their brethren living in Serbia. You better worry about Serbia and let Albania alone deal with its problems.

Albania it is the best country is Muslim country but do not never follow one in 1000 go to mosque don't compare Albanian with Turky .Albania is the same of European no any difference

MSA for Albanian was apporoved by 27 members individually since 2009.
The MSA for Serbis still has to be approved by the members of EU.
The only reason that Albania didn't get the status since 2009 was for the suppidity of Edi Rama not to vote the 3 laws that EU required.
Anyway now Rama in PM and the laws were approved last year,so Albania will get the status.

Moreover,for strategic reasons Trans Atlantic Pipeline(TAP) which was approved and will start next year,Greece,Albania and Italy have to support each other and if you can see Greece doesn't bother Albania anymore about greeks in Albania because 90% of the already live in Greece.
Albania has been in White Schengen for 3 years now and has caused no problems.

It had to happen. The EU officials are becoming just as stupid as the Americans. The EU is battling to come even close to something that was promised to Poland, Hungry, Bulgaria etc. upon joining the EU and now they are talking of Albania joining.

Perfectly put, Nikolle, as usual. b92 and their 'nice' commentators is always a thing to behold - i mean, how else to say it? it is amazing how you so often appear to get thru their um filtering process. but at any rate it was worth wading thru the merde all these years, just to see them having to type this headline: albania is newest EU candidate. lord be praised ;)
