Serbia receiving help from increasing number of countries

The US is giving $100,000?Gee, that's generous. During the 78 day bombing campaign the US spent more than $2 billion. We should be thankful that this time they won't be dropping depleted uranium on civilians. I guess you have to have priorities.

Good to see small minded politics put aside to help people in genuine need. Hope all works out for those affected.

Our private helicopter, as a member of the hungarian rescue team went to Serbia today to help the people fighting against the flood.

$100,000 USD does seem small.... Hmmm don't know what to say other than...Did you know this station received more in AID from USAID than the embassy is giving? Why not ask why B92 provide aid to the Serbian govt? Did you know that USA experiences disasters as well? The Midwest USA will experience more deaths and property destruction than the Balkans? California experiences wild fires each year just like in San Diego now, with many deaths more than the floods in Serbia. But the American govt can only give $100,000. In 2013, USAID/OFDA responded to 52 disasters in 40 countries, providing $883 million in humanitarian assistance. Is the flooding in Serbia worse than Typhoon Yolanda? Or the Japanese earthquake of 2011? Serbia is not the only country in the world, I ask that you look at the whole perspective.

Not that your post deserves a response, and it is obvious you are not in Serbia and not directly affected by the flooding so you can afford to continue on your tirade of hate at any cost.
Now if you reread the article you will see the Ambassador to Serbia has set aside 100,000 from his funds(most likely the maximum he can commit without going through congress) and another 100,000 is being transferred to the red cross. This is immediate money in the emergency situation. The real costs to Serbia will come in the recover period not in the rescue phase. By then the US will no doubt assess the situation and help out accordingly as they do all over the world.
Now as far as the other part of your post, although there is plenty I would like to say, I will refrain as I do not think this is the appropriate time.
