The opposition Democrats (DS) then issued a statement of their own, saying that the accusations were "incredible", considering that for the past two years, the RTS audience "could only watch a promotion of the Serbian government, the SNS, and Vučić himself."

Indeed, RTS in Serbia sometimes sounded like RTV in Russia - i.e. like a state-owned propaganda channel for promoting and cheering the ruling party.

The two associations assessed that the ruling party's move was "a classic example of pressure against the RTS and media freedoms, and intimidation of journalists."

Not a very wise move of the ruling party to criticize media in Serbia that are still at least partially independent in the first week of the new government. Or did Vucic talk too much with Erdogan and Putin recently?
