Nathan,

this decision has nothing to do with the monarchy or political power. it has to do with private property that was confiscated from her and her family.

I don't read anywhere this decision that grants "legitimacy to the idea of royalty and gives the self-proclaimed princes and princesses the opportunity to claim positions of authority".

it's just about a private person getting private property that was confiscated by the state returned to them.

No one is restoring any monarchy here.

I think the court has made a big mistake with this decision. Marija may have been a good person, she may have been wrongly deprived of citizenship rights, but that doesn't mean that her claim to power and property is legitimate, and it doesn't mean that her grandchildren should be given free property by the state. Royalty is a fake idea, based on the claim that certain people are inherently superior to others and that their children share that superiority. With this ruling the High Court lends legitimacy to the idea of royalty and gives the self-proclaimed princes and princesses the opportunity to claim positions of authority. The past 300 years have been a constant struggle against illegitimate authority and Serbia, its state and people, should continue that struggle.
