The Belgrade court has extradicted every single big fish to the Hague and I would really hope that this one in Pristina would do the same cause then there will be no albanians or police officers left in Kosovo. Milosevic, Krstic, Mladic, Karadzic and Hadzic were all extradicted, now lets see what you will do.

This court should be under the UNSC auspices for these reasons:

1- So that the Serbs here stop complaining. This has been investigated three times already. If this court finds nothing Serbs as always will find something else to complain. It is time for once and for all to have the UNSC head this court and bring an end to the case.
(j, 10 April 2014 02:14)

Wishful thinking... There is already a UNSC court and that has not stopped Serbs here from complaining. There is only one way Serbs here can stop complaining - when a Court decides that what Serbs here have in their head is correct. Serbs here are heavenly people and it is inconceivable that what they have in their head might be wrong.

KLA units fought a just and clean war and 99% of its members were clean cut guys.

One thing is for certain the Kosovo society unlike in Serbia it has zero sympathy for these criminals.

(Jeff, 10 April 2014 15:16)

Yes, by ambushing police, military, throwing grenades in cafes Serbs go to, burning down homes of Serbs, kidnapping, illegal harvesting of organs, throwing stones and anything else at busses with Serbs in it, destroying countless monasteries, murdering several priests...with full support of local....funding from human trafficking and narcotics...yes, the KLA was a just group of clean cut guys. LOL.

I don't know what the catch is with this tribunal because I find it hard to believe the international community would want justice for Serbian victims. However, if it's a true tribunal, then I say good. Albanians can finally learn of the things they did. The Serbs have had their side on trial, hopefully the Albanians do too. Starting with one of the biggest murderers and criminals, Thaci.

Kosovo is not capable of establishing its own special court to just deal with the individual criminals which committed crimes during the war. In Kosovo there are a handful of cases and EU or some other special appointed court should finish them quickly. KLA units fought a just and clean war and 99% of its members were clean cut guys. However there are some bad guys that they did not just murder Serbs, they murdered Albanians and anyone who crossed their paths. War for them was a perfect tool to profit and climb the ladder of power. However unlike Serbia which has thousands of cases to deal with Kosovo doesn't have more than maybe 10 cases to prosecute. We all know who these individuals are but no one can say a thing because these people either hold high government positions or are well connected with high ranking government officials. One thing is for certain the Kosovo society unlike in Serbia it has zero sympathy for these criminals. In fact the society is tired of these thugs that used the war to profit and advance their personal agenda; that most people are hoping that some kind international court takes over and it sentences them to a lengthy jail sentences. No one will miss them and majority of the people will say under their breath "Finally Good riddance"

4- Since Hague is winding down, this should start where Hague left off and continue with every single case of war crime, even if it takes decades. The focus area should be Serbia and Kosova.
(j, 10 April 2014 02:14)
But why a new court? If it fell to the UNSC the most practical response would be to extend the mandate of the ICTY and maybe broaden its agenda, most probably a new court would consist of many of the judges from the ICTY as they leave that court.
It is doubtful it will come from the UNSC as the investigation was launched by the EP.
The UNSC and the EP will be looking at this from a different viewpoint of Serbs who view the Hague as anti Serb.

It would be a first step if Pristina would do what "Belgrade war crimes court did". At least they issued verdicts and imprisonment for war criminals. And the big fishes are tried in The Hague.

Kosovo courts, on the other hand, release even the biggest war criminals 'for lack of proof' (read: The clan mates of the praised KLA freedom fighters eliminate or threated witnesses) and sent them straight back to the Kosovo government.

But what do you expect from a 'country' where the head of government even nowadays is one of those people and is openly denying that war crimes were committed by KLA. It would be the same like Serbia would still be governed by Milosevic, Karadzic or Seslj.

2- This court should have more far reaching decision making power. This should not stop on Marty's allegation but it should look into any and all crimes committed against both Albanians and Serbs prior, during and immediately after the war. We need to find the perpetrators and lock them up for good. Have a clean slate.

3- This court should have the power to extridite the accused from wherever they live in the world. So if they are hiding in Serbia or Kosova for example these countries should be obligated to bring the accuser and face justice.

4- Since Hague is winding down, this should start where Hague left off and continue with every single case of war crime, even if it takes decades. The focus area should be Serbia and Kosova.

Probably what will happen is a few sacrificial lambs in Pristina will get the axe, and the number of victims the court claims to find willl probably be 1/4th of the actual victims. In addition to destroying its economy, the Serbian govt is helping in historical revision all in the name of EU integration.
(Ari Gold, 9 April 2014 17:46)
Your Serbian numbers have already been shown to be a myth. Dicky in his report stated that IF these crimes can be proven, the number of victims will be in the tens, and not hundreds as rumored.
The same thing has happened in Serbia, the Serbia courts have sacrificed a few low level lambs and have protected those actually in charge. The difference is that it is international prosecutors and judges in Kosovo and not their drinking buddies as in Serbia.

According to Žbogar, it is essential that the tribunal be established to treat individual cases, and that it would "in no way be directed either against Kosovo or against the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA)."

Wasn't it the honorable 'Kosovo prime minister' Thaci himself who some years ago openly stated that Marty's accusations that KLA war criminals killed Serbs only for extracting and selling their organs was 'against the independent Kosovo'?

ALBANIAN

We will absolutely be 100% committed to catch all criminals that currently live within Kosova's borders. Starting with Serbs who have yet to appear in courts for their horrific crimes done in Kosova. Secondly, we will go after the Roma criminals who sided Serbs to and committed crimes along with Serbs. And of course every Albanian that worked for Serbian authorities prior to 1999 should be tried accordingly to their betrayal on their people. This will happen, and we will meet the EU standards no doubt. There are no Albanian criminals that committed crimes against Serbians, those are false statements made by Serbian jokers.

This court will do nothing for the thousands of dead Serbian civilians and hundreds of thousands ethnically cleansed. The EU will oversee the operation of this court, this means the truth is already compromised before anything actually starts. In a EU fanatic bid to appease the union, Serbia established EULEX as the highest rule of law in the territory. This obviously doesn't mean Albanian independence because they are very dependent, but it does mean you can forget about far court proceedings.
