Sad that a commemoration of a tragedy from the past provokes such vitriol and hate filled rhetoric from some people (Lenard). Let it go, mate.

@Lenard:

Sorry but I have to concur that your comment is a bit incomprehensible.

TO John: Serbs making "EXCUSES" for remembering what the Nazi Croats and Germans did during WWII? Disgusting comment made by you! I hope there is a pay back for people like you.

It is sad that statements are made such as about neo-nazism events throughout Croatia, because they spread hatred and are simply not truthful. In Croatia neo-nazis, while existent, are on the fringes. And WW2...let's not forget that the anti-fascist movement was started in Croatia. This hate propaganda is not healthy. If Serbs don't accept their responsibility in what happened in the 1990s and instaed always look for excuses for their actions, they will never grow out of the depressed state they have been in for the last decades.

Although you're correct that the Ustashas were allies to the Nazis I thought I point out that despite their alliance that some online articles I read claim that the Ustashas' level of brutality was such that even their Nazis allies or at least some Nazis were appalled at the brutality of the Ustashas,if necessary to point out but I even read some online article where the brutality of the Japanese army appalled some Nazis.

Don't get me wrong I'm not making light of the actions committed by the Nazis because I agree that they committed their share of brutality in the duration of the 2nd world war so what I'm saying is that some Nazis appeared to have a conscience (albeit a slight conscience)when at least some of them were appalled at the actions of the Ustashas even the Japanese.

Poor lenard - his lack of civility and dark hatred (not to mention his poor writing skills) reveal his ignorance and lack of education.

The NAZIs have just transformed into NATO with the same objective, to rule the world. However, as history repeats, they will fail once again. Serbia is under occupation once again and with help from the resurging and emerging powers, our allies, we will once again defeat this evil.

It is a shame that so many good countries have got themselves integrated/forced into this evil but I have hope they will see the light when the time comes.

Lenard, holy land crap? Are you talking about the Holy SEE{?} {see what?}
and the Vatican during and after WWII helping Nazi German and Croatian war criminals escape to South America, Canada, Australia. Maybe some day we will meet. God willing.

I think the readers of B92 have collectively seen the gradual mental breakdown by Lenard through his insane comments. Notice how Zagreb was not bombed by Nazi Germany, despite the fact that they were both officially apart of the government that first stood up to Greater Germany's murderous expansion into the rest of Europe.

Croatia was the most loyal ally that Germany had in the entire world. Obviously they appreciated this gesture and never forgot you because the neo-Ustasha movement revived in the 90s with the help of guess who? Germany.

This isn't even something controversial to say because fascism is celebrated on a regular basis in Croatia. At least every weekend you can find a number of Croatian city squares or soccer stadiums packed with thousands of youth attending neo-Ustasha rally's.

"The destruction of the National Library is one of the biggest crimes committed against the movable cultural heritage in Europe during World War II," said Serbian Minister of Culture Ivan Tasovac, adding that the demolition of the Library transcended the national borders and became a universal symbol of the attempt to destroy and obliterate culture, art and science.
Serbs did the same to the country Bosnia national libary in the 1990's delibretly. You would think Serbs learnd something by now nop you would be completely wrong. It is amazing Serbs celebrate something every week of their majority of loser history. What would the Serbs do if they could not be woes us the perpetual victims of their foolish follys. I truly sympathize with the Serbs and stand with them on this day. We Poles know how many of our people perished in the war as well as how much old cultural heritage went up in flames from the Nazi bombings and that what was stolen by both the Nazis and Soviets en masse during and after the war (as late as 1947). Millions of precious pieces of art and literature disappeared one way or the other during the rape of our country by these two dictatorships, millions of people murdered and 85% of our precious and beautiful capital leveled with the ground, together with other cities shelled or bombed to hell by either of our lovely neighbours.

I pray that Europe never again experiences such horrors again. Never forgive and never forget, but never repeat!!!
