Every MEP at the EU parliament has a daily allowance of 300 euros a day. That is as much as the average monthly wage in Serbia.
(Ari Gold, 1 April 2014 13:46)

Thats a monthly salary of a diplomat in Bulgaria - an EU member.

True, but it says more about the catastrophic economic situation in Serbia than the situation in EU, don't you think?
(Comm. Parrisson, 1 April 2014 14:06)

I say both. On one hand, it shows how the "EU has no alternative" policy has led Serbia to complete ruin. I would have been right on those streets to remove Milosevic, but the reality is Serbia was a much wealthier place before 2000 than after. In 14 years, billions of dollars have left the country, average salary has seen a sharp decline, domestic industry ruined etc.

On the other hand, it shows how the EU as a project was built for the glorification of the public servant. For these unelected bureaucrats to be treated as royalty and rockstars. The irony is Europe might end up destroying the European Union before Serbia ever gets to join. Because they actually live in it and are seeing what blind EUrophiles in Serbia refuse to.

Halleluyah! There is a God! How long does it take those fools in the EU to realize the obvious?! Now I wish they will just execute it and be done with it, finally!

Seriously, though. This made my day. People in Europe are finally waking up.

Turkey is as foolish as Serbia. Trying to join an organization where you are not wanted. And for what? So that domestic politicians could get an even fancier job at the EU parliament. The EU is a politicians World Cup, the most coveted prize. Because there, politicians and their excess on tax-payer dime is glorified and encouraged.

You're right but its the elites of all of the EU's member states and aspiring ones which have pledged their loyalty to the EU project, knowing pretty well that its diminishing their own countries. But the truth has finally dawned on the European populations that they have been conned by an illegal, self serving, inward looking, totalitarian mega-state, run purely for the benefit of a handful of parasites in Brussels. The EU is nothing but a playground for conmen, failed politicians and thieves. You can see why our lot of clowns can't wait to join the gravy train before it goes off the rails for good!

Took a bit long to realize that. What did Erdogan do? Under the name of 'EU requirements' for harmonizing the system to democracy, he limited the power of the army and military leadership. But it was only for establishing his islamist regime, elected by the poor, uneducated peasant population in the eastern parts who wanted a 'religious leader'.

Though Erdogan was never hiding his real intentions: "The democracy is only the bandwagon we jump on (for reaching an islamist regime)"
