This guys are no different to old democratic guys the only difference is that those guys hide everything. They would be more than happy to block Russia just to get closer to EU but they cant to this because Serbian economy depends on Russia.

And this is just sad because people are with Russia and Serbian people will always want to be part of Russia while politicians keep pushing Serbia to EU for the past 20 years...

With love from Serbia to Russian brothers

EU has given billions to Serbia. Russia nothing. Tell me one thing Russia has given to Serbia in the last 5 years. 1 thing.

Whatever sum of Money that the EU has given is nothing compared to how much it did cost to rebuild the infrastructure and the country thanks to the EU/Nato bombings.

Hmmm...It's true that EU has given Serbia billions, and if only they didn't destroy tens of billions, it would be great.
When someone destroys your home and gives you tent for free, you still fail to feel great gratitude.
But, article is not about that. Free trade agreement is a good deal for us and should be kept.

lol you are so poorly deluded that it makes me sad people like this still exist in Serbia. The EU has not given Serbia billions. They have given certain political actors and parties which hold a pro EU platform a ton of money and that's it. Seeing as the billions in damages Western countries caused by bombing Serbia, why would even billions be considered something noteworthy.

Nobody is going to "give" you anything in this life. You want foreign governments to hand your prosperity because you don't want to work with it. Lazy Srbijanac lol.

You have it backwards.

"Other than a bunch of empty promises, extortions, quarter century of pressures and crude blackmails, what precisely does Europe offer to Serbia?"

You left out "violence".

Deda, what exactly does Russia have to offer Serbia, besides total dependence on Ruskie gas? Every single business agreement between Serbia and Russia has been in Russia's favor. South stream is also very much in Russia's favor. When Serbia needed Russian help in 1999, they were nowhere to be found - oh yes, they offered their UN veto, at quite a price. BTW, Russia is one oil price war away from an economic meltdown, that is the way with petro-states. My money is on the EU, and the advantages it holds, as much as you Russofiles hate to admit.

Russia at least promises and at least delivers something to Serbia, however little. And, unlike EU, Russia ACTUALLY delivers. In terms of sheer integrity and crediibility as a trading and commercial partner, European Union can't hold a candle to Russia.

Other than a bunch of empty promises, extortions, quarter century of pressures and crude blackmails, what precisely does Europe offer to Serbia? Another round of concentration camps such as those Serbia "enjoyed" the last time when "New Europe" was in control of Serbia? Or perhaps reservations for Serbian "savages" surrounded by miles and miles of concertina wire such as the ones administered by EULEX in Kosovo?

I do not see much enthusiasm on part of the Serbs to join Euro-Union. I do, however, see great enthusiasm on part of Euro-Union to bamboozle and swindle the Serbs into believing that Europe has no alternative and that they should be happy to be EU-thanized.

Dear Europe: wake us up when you rediscover Humanism and Renaissance. Until then, Russia will continue looking extremely alluring - and not just to the Serbs.
