Back in 2008, under NATO occupation, Kosovo Albanians seceded. Same year, NATO and Americans provided satellite info and covert intelligence to the Georgians and failed to get root out resistive elements in two regions. Russia came to the aid of the two regions, and they seceded. Yanukovych, an elected leader, ousted by puppets sponsored by west, remove Russian language from 30-35% of Ukraine's population to use. Outcome - resistance in South, east and Crimea, followed by the of Crimea. It ain't over yet. I will not be surprised to see Ukraine as a federal state or confederation in order to survive. With Russian as second language and constituent status, otherwise bye-bye to the east and possibly western sections (always historically Russian speaking) soon.

Many in the US think the sanctions are a joke. The same people would probably consider your comments inappropriate and you uneducated and primitive.

I don't get how he can keep a straight face while he says that stuff. His puny sanctions preventing 20 people from taking vacations are an indication of exactly how much the US and EU will back up friendly small countries when they face a powerful foe. No expensive dinners in London and NYC is the price Putin will pay for new gas fields. Gone are the days of one superpower.

The statment "nations must not redraw borders just because they are bigger and more powerful" was probably the highlight of this farce. It brings to mind the wisdom of the french playwright who wrote "One should examine oneself for a very long time before thinking of condemning others."

The lesson that little people can draw from all of this is that the great powers are much more reliable enemies to small nations than they are as friends to small nations. Anger them and they will destroy you, call them for help and they will largely ignore you.

I don't get how either Putin (since he will remain in charge until he dies) or any American president (any marionette of the banks and corporations) can say such things publicly with a straight face. Both America and Russia take great pleasure in interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign states and then accuse the other side of doing it.

I cannot digest how European nations have become so weak and dependent on these two countries. Instead of defending our nations, our society, our economies and our people, we have spineless, weak and ultra-liberal technocrats that have plunged our countries into debt; corrupted/destroyed our societal norms and values with mass immigration, multiculturalism, political correctness and these ridiculous gender/sexuality issues; and downsized our military to pathetic little defense forces (while the Americans and Russians have gigantic armies, tons of equipment, strategic and tactical capabilities that Europe can only dream of), when we should be investing in our own defense and self-preservation for this precise reason: to defend ourselves from bullying nations like America and Russia. Where is the justice here? How can we have let ourselves get so controlled?

Like all bullies, they end up with a bloody nose, and I pray that such a day will come that Russia and America are left with a bloody nose and that Europe will finally be free and unified in the true sense (not in the corrupt and bureaucratic EU way) from foreign influence.

The border of the independent Kosovo was drawn by the unilateral declaration of independence (violating Serbia's constitution), the border of Crimea was drawn by the unilateral declaration of independence (violating Ukraine's constitution), the border of Russia was drawn by the (free or not) will of people living on Crimea, given by a poll for joining Russia and Russia's vote in parliament to annex the territory of Crimea (violating bilateral treaties between Russia and Ukraine about territorial integrity)

Nice dream but you know as well as I do it will not happen. It is not human nature to live in this so called peaceful harmony. Throughout history you have major powers that call the shots and if tomorrow it is not the US or Russia or China it will be a single emergence of power to lead not a union of "power" sharing.
