Cameron is right. He is telling the truth about what happened in the past might be repeated again if Serbia and Albania join EU.

UK is in the mess it is now because of all the Muslims they let it NOT eastern Europeans. Europeans no matter where they come from have similar values and look for work and integrate while Muslims only breed more welfare dependents.

One good thing coming out of this is that Serbia will be saved from herself if he boycotts. I am all in favour of that but not for spreading of lies about Serbs.

England is floded with muslim refugies, it has masive problem on its hands how to handle the situation with local population ,the cristian emigrants would be of benefit to england one would think.

I hope Cameron does veto Serbia's membership, for the good of Serbia.

Our politicians in the UK are quick to complain and even make racist comments against Christian Europeans, something they are too gutless to say against Muslims and other third world immigrants who are the real drain on the country both economically and culturally. I really hope Serbia doesn't join the EU, your assets will be stripped, banks and unelected politicians will rule you, your people will be used as canon fodder foru illegal wars and cheap labour. Joining the EU would be worse than being ruled by Hitler and the third Reich. Your people,s decision of course, but most indigenous people in the UK want out of this EU nightmare, the only ones who want in are the third world scroungers we pay for, please think long and based Serbia while you have the chance!

Spot on Diana.What I would state this is just part of the deliberate plan concocted by the EU and slavishly adhered to by our political Elites.Our politicians might live in their own exclusive affluent areas however, they are totally aware of the problems caused by this wave of immigrants. The schools, hospitals, housing, transport and the huge cost to the taxpayers, including the benefits being thrown at our Islamist enemies among us.You only have to visit down town Athens and you'll see what is in stock for Serbia if it ever joins the EU.

Well, nobody forced you to overspend... it's not EU's fault that you can't manage your own finances and then needed the EU to save you from bankruptcy because the Russian friends showed you the door.

it seems to me, david cameron is pandering to the UKIP crowd. ultimately, the treaty of Rome is not just a free trade agreement, it encompasses the movement of people too and any EU citizen has the right to settle/work in any other EU member state. this is a fundamental right of all EU passport holders. as for immigration itself, its not a subject that is easy to debate. human beings migrate, this has happened throughout history and will always happen. judging from some comments here, i'd say certain posters are essentially racist, but of course they hide behind phrases like national identity little realising that identities are fluid and not compact, thus they change. your ancestors were immigrants too Peggy, you'd do well to remember that
