UN resolution on "right to privacy in digital age"

The United Nations General Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution called "The Right to Privacy in the Digital Age."

On Christmas Day , December 25th, 1989
Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena Ceausescu were shot by firing squad after "trial" without defense lawyers that lasted less then one hour.

Nicolae was a communist president of Romania, and was charged with many crimes. His wife Elena, was not in charge of too many things, but one thing stood out - surveillance of citizens!
For that, she was charged and executed.
I think it's a fitting punishment for the crime, and can't see why it wouldn't be observed today.
