I feel bad for all the people that are half Serb half Croat.... I understand why they hate one another.... One observation I do have about both people. When I was at the Creation Club in Windsor Canada I was not welcomed and was looked at as an outsider.... Felt very dirty. But for Serbs to claim moral ground after what just happened in Bosnia, Kosovo and Croatia , goes beyond any reason. If this case results in anything other than complete dismissal of the charges I will be amazed. However, I didn't believe that they were so sensitive. There is as much of an 'insult' to Serbs as to Croats in what Zimmerman said if you really want to be picky, which I don't. In the 1991-95 Croatian War, the Croats had 13,583 casualties. In the 1992-95 Bosnian War, Bosniaks has 31,270 soldier and 33,071 civilian casualties. In the 1999 Kosovo War, the Albanians had 10,533 casualties.

Compare that to the the brutal Croatian WW2 mass extermination campaign which resulted in anywhere between 580,000 to 700,000 Serbian victims, murdered in the most medieval and bestial ways imaginable - German commanders in the area regularly reported their disgust.

The Croatian genocide campaign was unprecedented for the Balkans and never before seen on such scale, the oppression the Croats felt when they first came under Belgrade rule from 1918 onwards never justified such horrific mass slaughter of Serbs and Jews.

The Croatians were the only Nazi puppet regime in WW2 to run their own concentration camps (third largest after Auschwitz), everywhere else in occupied Europe the Germans had to run their concentration camps themselves. Serbian victim numbers in WW2 FAR FAR FAAAR outweigh the casualty numbers in the 1990s on all sides.

I feel bad for all the people that are half Serb half Croat.... I understand why they hate one another.... One observation I do have about both people. When I was at the Creation Club in Windsor Canada I was not welcomed and was looked at as an outsider.... Felt very dirty. When I was at the Serbian and Slovenian clubs I was welcomed and everyone was very nice... Not to say there are no bad people on the Serb side.. but I have not met to many nice Croats...

If this case results in anything other than complete dismissal of the charges I will be amazed. I had always pencilled my Balkan friends in as good conspiracy theorists and many is the evening when I have sat around with them listening to ever more bizarre prognoses and, along with them, laughing myself silly. However, I didn't believe that they were so sensitive. There is as much of an 'insult' to Serbs as to Croats in what Zimmerman said if you really want to be picky, which I don't. Frankly the prospect of not being allowed back into France, if that is what results from a conviction and a refusal to apologise, sounds like a bonus not a punishment. Now I am about to be sued by sensitive Frenchmen no doubt!
