The main issue is: the Catalan people think independence is the BEST option, and Spaniards shout that unionism is the ONLY choice. Think for yourself.

"The break up of Spain is inevitable!"

This really doesn't fill me with glee. Spain hasn't shown any of the aggression to its minority groups that the heavenly people showed to theirs. Now that Comm has yet again used his most frequently used phrase, unilateral declaration, truth is Comm, there would be no need for independence had Serbia not raped, pillaged, murdered, expelled innocent civilians in the late 90's, a crime it still denies. Unlike the heavenly people, the Spanish haven't sent tanks and APC's and death squads to Catalan villages.

It is also stated that "only all of the Spanish people have the right to decide on the territorial integrity of the country."

Interesting, eh? Sounds like the Spaniards don't like unilateral declarations or referendums by ethnic minorities :)

I think you'll find that Catalans are are the ethnic majority in Catalonia.

And Unilateral Declarations? As opposed to bilateral and trilateral declarations?

Also there is no such thing as a "Spaniard" or a "Spanish People". There are many many ethnic groups in Spain. A "Spanish People" is as artificial as a "Yugoslavian People" or a "British People". Castile-Leon has ruled over the ethnic minorities of what is currently Spain for far too long, the people want out of Spain now that it is goning down the drain.

The Catalans want out of Spain as do the Basques. To a lesser extent the Aragonese, the Asturians, the Andalusians, the Galacians and the Valencians also want out and popularity is rising.

Spain is a boiling pot waiting to bubble over.

And the funny thing is, Madrid still has concerns over Gibraltar haha!

The break up of Spain is inevitable!

The resolution states that "a part of the citizens cannot, under any pretext, deal with the issue of territorial integrity of the country," and that "the authorities have no right to deprive citizens living in a certain part of the territory of freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of Spain."

It is also stated that "only all of the Spanish people have the right to decide on the territorial integrity of the country."
