You may have noticed that the stock and financial market have adjusted to the point where they no longer care what happens to the US.
(sj, 30 October 2013 22:56)

sj,

U.S. Stock Markets are hitting all time record highs and somehow you interpret it as impending doom for the U.S. Economy. This ridiculous analysis is, obviously, a result of the night course in Economics you failed in Malaysia.

Ah, that's the reason why nobody cared whether the US congress would raise the debt limit or not a couple of weeks ago... Indeed, since China's top national priority is the pride of some Serbs, China is ready not to care about hundreds of millions dollars of their savings.

Reality on the ground is no one gives a crap about Albos – I ask again how many industries have relocated to Kosvoa? The US is about to invest in Serbia proper, but for some unknown reason it’s overlooked its close allies, the Albos, Why?
Australia’s recognition is like 97% of others where neither have kiosk let alone an office in Pristina. The main embassy is in Belgrade.
I find it amusing that Piss and Wind is building a base in Romania while their economy is still going down the toilet. Well the US citizens will have to tighten their belts even further – 17 trillion by end of December and soon 18 trillion so they “can pay their bills”.
You may have noticed that the stock and financial market have adjusted to the point where they no longer care what happens to the US.

If there is any symbol of that so-called republic in polling stations, no Serb will go to the polls, and incidents are also possible. 3. Mail the cut out copies to Thaci, care of "Serbian voters"
(Balkan Anthropologist, 28 October 2013 14:39)

Great solution, but I would simply tear of this 'Kosovo symbol' from the ballot - no need for scissors.

Now I'm thinking about my last voting. I cannot remember to have seen any state symbols on the ballot. But well, I live in a real state, not in a wannabe state where politicians think some self-created symbols can prove the statehood.

So here's what you do.

1. Go to the polls and vote.
2. Take scissors and cut out the logo and any other offense symbol
3. Mail the cut out copies to Thaci, care of "Serbian voters"

Voting legitimizes nothing, especially when the parties being voted for identify with Serbia and, if given electoral power, will work to functionally detach the given municipalities from direct links with Pristina. The irony couldn't be better: an election sponsored by the so-called "Republic of Kosovo" where its larger minority votes for its autonomy and links with Belgrade :)

Except that's not going to happen. Most Serbs in Kosovo live south of the Ibar and don't have problems working with the Kosovo authorities. Also, since some seats are saved for Serbian parties in the Kosovo parliament, if even one Serb votes, there will be a Serbian in the parliament.

You keep on telling yourself that all the time if it makes you feel warm and cosy. I find all of this amusing; going through this so called election as if something is going to be achieved – to what end? When will your Turkish friends bring manufacturing industry to Kosovo????? Has Ford announced a relocation of one of its plants to Pristina??
Like your main benefactor, the United States of Piss and Wind, you guys are the same. Of course the symbols will be removed from the ballot papers and anyway all those symbols, including you’re so called Kosovo flag, is a product of the EU. You people are so inept you could not come up with your own flag and you wonder why Serbs laugh at you.
To the EU Kosovo is a waste land with 1.5 million mouths to feed and poverty that makes Somalia look like Brunei.

No, that's another try to show some 'statehood'. Does it make any sense to ban people from the neighbor state to enter, for fabricated arbitrary reasons. Believe it or not, in the state I'm living in people from the neighboring countries can come to a visit without even showing the passport.

Well, sorry, for me it is more like Pristina politicians behaving like some little kids at school who think they are the biggest and most powerful when they hit other kids, until the teacher stops them. Civilized and adult behavior is something totally different.

P.S: Ah, now I understand why they call themselves the 'young Europeans': Because of this childish behavior :)

Exactly, but that's what to expect from "Kosova". They think by putting a symbol of a state that it somehow controls votes? They need to see the rallies in Strpce and Gracanica. Take a look at how many Serbian flags are flying and they'll get the message.

Cut it out, rip it off, scribble over it, who cares? It symbolically represents the municipalities that will be ripped away from Pristina :)

"Over 250,000 Serbs were denied an opportunity to vote, these being internally displaced persons (IDPs) that had lived in Kosovo, while out of 40,000 who filed a registration application, only around 10,000 were granted the right to vote." These conditions for Serb participation in the elections are unacceptable. All that creates a bad atmosphere, as Priština is doing everything in its power to ensure that Serbs do not vote.

Sue

pre 10 godina

If there is any symbol of that so-called republic in polling stations, no Serb will go to the polls, and incidents are also possible. During this day, everything that was received from Priština and the OSCE, and copies of the electoral roll, indicate that the elections were called by the so-called Republic of Kosovo and that they have Kosovo's coat of arms. Serbs wont accept that conditions of the election.

They are terrified and so keep their mouths shut. One word of complaint out of them and they are f*#%$d. They have no choice but to play along with the albanians. No one listens to them, not even the useless Kosovo Ombudsman.

You people are persisting in trying to sell Kosovo as a beacon of economic development; that’s who. But do tell how it’s going to survive on its own.
The US is nothing more than piss and wind simply because it is exactly just that. Why didn’t they attack Syria as they are the most powerful military in the world????? Behind the scenes they were begging Russia to find a solution for them. Obama said that if it’s was not over in 23 to 3 months then it was over for the US as it did not have the resources to continue an endless war – the US has to borrow to live or as Obama said “we need to lift the debt ceiling so as to borrow to pay our bills”. Read that last bit again.
Serbia is not nor ever has been a superpower.

“The ballot paper will contain all the elements that the law on general elections requires. The ballot paper will have the logo of the Central Election Commission and will be the same for the entire territory of Kosovo,” the CEC said in a written statement.

Considering that Serbia's own statistics have not put the total number of Serb population above that since 1991, I'd this figure is bull. of course Serbs who have not been born, never visited and only care for Kosova in rhetoric (ala sj) don't have the right to vote. Serbia removed ALL K. Albanians from its electoral list, whilst insisting that the territory on which they were born and live is Serbia

there there sj, its only frustration and ineptitude at not being able to change the reality on the ground (14 years free of Belgrade and counting) that is bringing out those comments. have you actually ever been there? these two districts are populated by the elderly, the youth have deserted them a long time ago. they're complete non-issues. considering that they're surrounded by Albanians, I'd say they have no choice but to integrate. Serbia is little by little abandoning them, as they're a bit too far out of reach. they're going to simply die out. the only challenge to Kosova is the North, the bit adjacent to Serbia, the rest, non issues
