Group of embassies in Serbia back Pride Parade

When two dogs meet they size each other up to decide who is the Alpha-male. If they are not sure, they fight. The losing dog must either get out of the neighbourhood or submit to the Alpha-male. Dogs show their submission by rolling on their backs and exposing their underbellies to the Alpha-male. Each time they meet the submissive dog must demonstrate its submission. Submission to the Alpha-male is never assumed, it must be demonstrated.

The Apha-male in international politics is America and it demands demonstrations of submission from all nations. The demand for Serbia and all Serbians to embrace Gay Pride as a 'celebration of diversity' has nothing to do with the rights or wellbeing of homosexuals in Serbia and everything to do with Serbs submitting to the will of the mighty Sultan in the White House.

Even if Serbs danced with foreign gay activists on Knez Mihailova, this would not be the end of their humiliation but the beginning. Submission to Sultan Hussein Obama must be shown by repeated humiliations.

Unlike the Americans, the Russians offer Serbia friendship, trade and respect, and it is with their fellow Slavs that Serbia can develop and prosper. The West offers only financial ruin and social disintegration.

"In 2009, the authorities banned the Pride Parade, and in 2010, it was held under heavy police protection. In 2011, the authorities banned the Parade for security reasons and in 2012, it was held indoors."

Somehow a shame that those things happened in a democratic, European country. It might suit to Russia, Turkey or Saudi Arabia, but no to Serbia.

Nobody is asking Serbia to embrace anything... Serbia just needs to guarantee the right to parade to a group of people X, the same same way it guarantees it to group of people Y or Z. Guaranteeing the right to parade for a group of people, does not mean that the state or the people of Serbia is embracing the cause of that group of people. You're just being caught on the fact that X is "gay" instead of being, say, "patriots celebrating the battle of Kosovo". I'm sure you'd not have any objection against the latter parading.

Friendship and respect bring nothing in terms of prosperity. That's akin to supporting Serbia with words rather than actions. But, hey, Serbs are people that need very little to be satisfied, and just nice words is good enough for them to give NIS to Russia for a fistful of euros.

Russia is really a great friend for Serbia :)

Surely, it'll be a disappointment for Michael Thomas when he sees that there are no naked men, nor does anyone appear to be prancing around in the picture. I guess more conservative societies have more conservative gay parades.
