The chatter now with the War mongering scum bags is if there is another chemical outrage there could be another vote in Parliament, well we can expect those head hacking nutters to do just that, they will still have a lot of Gas left from the first attack.

Message from the British parliament: "Dear Mr Assad. - Do as you want. You are a bit naughty, but we won't stop you."

I am disgusted at the way in which Britain has tied its own hands behind its back.

What a rediculous way of behaving.

Instead of deciding on this case on its merits, the politicians minds are stuck in the previous war rather than involving themselves in providing a strong message on this one.

Given the certainty of the evidence (as expressed by the Arab league and Turkey for example) probably the US will intervene - this matter cannot go unanswered.

I call on Russia to condemn the killing of civilians, and to ensure that Syria gets rid of chemical weapons. However, I think that Russia will secretly be pleased if the US do cause Assad to have a bit of a hammering.

I feel bad for the Syrians, Assad is such a ********! He and his gang have such an ego! Their logo is "Asad aw nahreq al balad" meaning "Assad or we burn down the country". They already did sadly. Syrians hope to find him crawling like a rat in the dessert or sewage lines with no clothes on then take him, slaughter him and all his male relatives! He deserves hanging in the public arena with everyone passing and spitting on his face, like in Roman times. That will teach every other dictator or potential dictator!
I hope that you Serbs don't side with him just because the bloody Russian elites support him or because Bosnian jihadist fight against him.
Sincerely,
Your half-Syrian brother.

May I add that following Wilson's refusal to join the Vietnam war the CIA tried to frame him that he was a Soviet spy.
(Leonidas, 30 August 2013 13:46)

Yes the former CIA Chief of Counter-intelligence James Jesus Angleton claimed that Wilson was a Soviet spy shortly after Wilson's election success in October 1964. Of course it is a load of rubbish. The US tried to portray Wilson as some sort of evil Stalinist Communist when in fact he was an honest working class Social-Democrat from the North of England. Even though he came across as rather boring and he wasn't very statesman like, post-revisionists consider him to be the best PM of the 20th Century and I'm inclined to agree.

I know two sorts of idiots the passives and the active ones. All depends on the marasm volume they can work out in the same period of time. As a master of poor comments please tell us if you really think that folks around are interested in everything you write here ? Why don't you have a good weekend and set us free from at least one marasmatic ?

Thank you !

Miliband is tying to emulate Harold Wilson who famously stood up to US pressure to join the Vietnam War.

I say Europe should establish a defence organisation without the US, Canada can join if they want.
(Ian, UK, 30 August 2013 12:32)

oops.

If I recall correctly, the reason Canada was one of the first proponents of NATO was so that they wouldn't find themselves ever in this precise position - having to choose between the US and UK.

Haha that silly sod Dave Cameron lost the Syria vote in Parliament. The honourable Liberal Democrats who voted against did for the same reasons why they were opposed to the Iraq War and Labour voted against to make Dave and the Tories look stupid and possibly because Nob-Ed Miliband is tying to emulate Harold Wilson who famously stood up to US pressure to join the Vietnam War. I wonder if Dave has been on the phone to Obama to check if they can still be besties?

I can't wait for the 2015 General Election. That daft sod Dave is getting kicked out of number 10. He is weak! It'll be good riddance and the same for that moron Gideon Osborne, his 'Etonomics' is doing wonders for our economy.

If the US wants to go to war in Syria then so be it, but don't expect our help. The US can fight their own wars from now on. The UK has given so much to back the US's foreign policy in the past but what do we ever get from the US in return? Sweet FA! They're supposed to be our ally, but where was the US when things heated up over Gibraltar and the Falklands Islands recently? They were nowhere to be seen as usual. The US never backs us, this so called "Special Relationship" seems to be a one way affair. The US needs us more than we need them because they don't do anything for us. F*** the US and F*** NATO too. All NATO does is make European and Canadian soldiers fight in American wars. I say Europe should establish a defence organisation without the US, Canada can join if they want.

Excellent news. The only disappointment was that the vote was actually quite close when the vast majority of the people were against it - that was politicians putting party politics before their constituents.

Time to leave the volatile middle east to its own devices. Any intervention will lead to more bloodshed and generate anti-western feeling.

David Cameron should be thankful that he has escaped dragging the UK into an unwanted war and disgraced his career like Blair. Hopefully this is the final nail in his career coffin.

That said its not over yet and the US will be in his ear to join them.
