"Everybody, stop calling THEM Macedonia. Do they speak Greek? No. Do they have Greek names and surnames? No. What they were? Just a part of Greek Macedonia\'s empire. Stop promoting this propaganda. UN calls them FYROM and that\'s it."
I have an idea everybody stop listening to a Nazi state that believes in a ideology that kills innocent people. Also one that can't understand it occupied a country like Bulgaria and Serbia did in 1912. You don't sign a treaty to divide you own country if it was really yours. Serbia seems to be going in a normal direction except the other two nations mentioned. Here's one, 1912 is over Macedonia (every part) and Macedonians are not going anywhere. Maybe in 1912 you shouldn't have let the Serbs or Bulgarians have part of Macedonia. You had your meeting with the Serbs in Skopje before the signing of the treaty. I guess those dreams aren't working out to well.
You Greeks come to America and become American. Its ok for you to do what you want and make up history as you go. By the way the Irish speak English but they were occupied by the British. Bottom line is stop justifying your lunatic ideas and killings.

Danilo, it probably wouldn't work. There's too little trust and goodwill, and still too much enmity, between the states. You'd see lots of suspicion, squabbling, accusation...it would look like YU circa 1985. Also, Balkan governments are still too corrupt and the economies still too underdeveloped to pull off such a feat. It's certainly a nice idea, but simply unachievable at this stage.

You know... this article makes me think of a crazy idea.

All these little countries on the balkans, all of them are struggling.

You know what might be an interesting idea? Some sort of economic and political union of all these states.

Might be to everyone's benefit.

Has this ever been floated?

Yes, and everyone else (but Greece) calls them by the name they wish to be called - Macedonia.

Get over it. You have bigger problems
