"Serbia's goal is EU membership by 2020"

Serbian Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanović says that the country's goal is "to join the EU by 2020."

The EU will not only exist, but thrive for as long as nations need one another. Even if Serbia ever manages to meet muster and joins the EU, that is a long way off. If dead beat countries such as Greece cannot threaten the viability of the EU then, certainly, Serbia with its minuscule economy is no danger to the EU. However, the question to be answered is: why would the EU want to dilute its pedigree by accepting a mutt like Serbia.

I remember Tadic set the target to be year 2014! so 6 additional years for people waiting to be able to settle in other EU countries! Just be patient folks :(
