But we can agree that even nowadays people who have some brain often chose to emigrate from the backward-country (economically, technologically and sociologically) Serbia.

B92 - Intel opens Serbia office November 28, 2007

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/business.php?yyyy=2007&mm=11&dd=28&nav_id=45775

BELGRADE -- The world's leading chipmaker, Intel, has opened its regional offices in Belgrade.

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mlađan Dinkić with associates met yesterday with a delegation of the U.S. company, a global information and microprocessor technologies giant.

Dinkić announced that IT sector will be given priority and added that incentives will include construction of a modern IT park in Inđija, Vojvodina.

He noted that one of the priority tasks for his ministry is to stop the drain of IT experts and to make it possible for them to find well-paid job in Serbia.

Intel Vice-President John Davies was quoted as saying that the company’s plans correspond to those of the ministry.

He added that it is "not accidental" that Intel opened its regional office in Belgrade, from which it will cover the former Yugoslav states and Albania.

Davies expressed Intel’s readiness to significantly speed up the development of IT sector in Serbia, including production of first made-in-Serbia laptop computers.

And America and Germany, as well as other western countries, have made sure to attack and trip smaller countries up when they were doing well or on the rise. One reason for WWI was the strengthening/flowering Russia - Germany was keen to attack it before it became stronger. Key western countries also didn't like that Yugoslavia and its form of socialism was doing alright - that was one of many reasons they decided to destroy it.

Yugoslavia often out-bid out-competed western countries in the construction and defense industries for work in third countries - Kuwait, Pakistan, Iraq, etc.

I think where Tesla lived is a moot point. We Serbs living in America are like most people who immigrate. We luv Serbia, and the USA too. I understand why those living Serbia dont feel the way though(obviously) but I think like Serbians while we may luv our land, we dont always luv out government, and I certainly dont luv the group of traitors running the USA now, and I havent always been crazy about politicians in Serbia either that. that said Tesla was screwed over. The man practically created wireless tech. Hoover stole many of his secrets. As time goes on Tesla will be remembered as the father of modern tech, and not that hack edison!

Places like Korea snd China are at the same point in development as the US in the 1890s early 20 century. Education is a mighty thing and a little knowledge makes you less prone to making yourself looking like a fool

How many Serbs of Origin choose to live in China or S.Korea nowadays? And how many chose to live in the USA, Australia, western European countries?

But we can agree that even nowadays people who have some brain often chose to emigrate from the backward-country (economically, technologically and sociologically) Serbia.
(Questioner, 12 July 2013 16:51)
I’m from Australia so perhaps you can tell me just how backward is China or how un reliant we are on the Chinese/Asia economies. This should be good for a laugh or two.
Taking about backward countries, when were you in Albania last? 15 minutes out of Tirana and you think it’s the 17 century.
