Russia is ready to fully finance the section of the South Stream gas pipeline through Serbia, a Serbian government minister has said.

Who sets the rate for the transit fees? (Gazprom has been reducing rates to its West European customers - has it also been reducing the fees it pays to transit countries?) How many years will it take to pay off the 49% of the value of the project?
