Serbs ask for the same rights that the kalbs started an insurrection for, and now the kalbs refuse to give it to those they are attempting to subjugate. It is beneath contempt. It is immoral. Serbia treated normal Albanians a helluva lot better than the kalbs treat Serbs today. I know, as I lived in Kosovo for 4 years in the early 90s and saw with my own eyes.

And then what? They alienate Pristina, they alienate Belgrade, they have no international support, how are they going to survive with no,zero, nada, money?
Besides isn't the reason Kosovo cannot take Serbia to court over repatriations the factthat it has to be a UN member? If Kosovo is not certainly North Kosovo is not.

I hope Krstimir is not of the belief that the ICJ is about justice. The court will have no problem in finding against the Serbs of north Kosovo. Its amazing how words can be twisted and massaged to describe white as black and black as white; it all depends on what side you're on you see, and that applies to the judges at ICJ as much as to anyone else in our glorious modern world.

We could all save ourselves the time, money and effort by simply seeing how many judges come from countries that recognise the independence of Kosovo and how many judges come from countries that don't. International justice today is pure mathematics. The Americans, who run the court, will make sure that the majority of judges come from their side.

1. Only a member of UN can ask for a opinion of ICJ.
2. Even if Serbia tries to pose that question ( doubt it because of unsc 1244) that of course would open the question of Vojvodina, Sandjak, and Presevo Valley.

To simplify it for Pantic... having a lawyer when arrested is a right under the law that can't be denied. Having a driver's license is not a right, but it can be obtained in accordance with the law.

I'm not sure what it would achieve, except showing what a joke the icj is. May be worth it after all.

If you did live there in the 1990's and do think that the Serbs treated the Albanians better than Albanians treat Serbs in Kosovo today, you were definitely a Serb then. There is one huge difference the treatment of Albanians in the 90's were under state direction and the treatment of Serbs today is due to locals who still feel that Serbs have not paid for their sins of the 90's.

This "gentleman" cannot ask anything of the icj because he belongs to a state that does not have membership in the UN.

He can, in his role as a Serb politician, request that Serbia asks that question and then they may try to divide Kosov but Serbia will be stuck outside of eu NATO and will continue to grow at the current pace.

I for one think this is a huge mistake probably the biggest mistake Serbia can do to start the 21st century.

I can just see it now , the Albanians from presova and the Vojvodins permit over the icj fence waiting for that ruling that says they can cease being part of the Serbian state.

Well, your name is accurate, as your and your Albanian friends' comments do make me laugh, A LOT. First, there are many countries that would support an independent Serb state. Think BRICS. You know that Russia and China would love more than anything to slap the US in the face and would immediately support it.

Regarding complaints. You and your buddies did a great job inventing injustices by Milosevic. Milosevic was a dictator and he was horrible to Serbs as well as everyone else. Milosevic ran into problems when enough other countries felt he had forfeited the right to establish order by the methods he used.

That is because it depends on the law applicable to each particular declaration of independence. For example, international law does not say anywhere that Serbia is an undivided territory; but international law does say that "Kosovo is an undivided territory". I know, it might sound unfair, but that's what the international law says - tough luck :)

Btw, don't take the above as suggesting whether you should ask the ICJ or not; I couldn't care less...
