He is a better man than Vuk "over my dead body" Jeremic, that is sure. In Serbian politics that kind of good intentions passes for weakness however.

LOL! Amazing how some petty issues can cause tensions between nations. It is called poor sportsmanship when someone loses in a competition and holds a grudge.

In fact, Lithuanian is just demonstrating the game played within the EU. Everyone is looking to bribe/pressure other members/non-members to gain some kind of an advantage. As a result, the EU is falling apart.

What you say about poor sportsmanship is true however, it does not apply to this situation.
It has been the norm that the UNGA president comes from a rotating of regions, it is customary for any interested states to submit a candidate and then if there are more than one the region decides who should represent them. However this time Lithuania was unopposed for months and it was accepted that they would move into the presidency position. It is an honorary position and not a political one(however Serbia is changing history on that front). Then suddenly at the last minute Serbia decides they want it and with the region unable to decide on one candidate it had to go for a vote in the UNGA. Serbia won by a few votes. But it was a slap in the face of Lithuania they have responded well.

At least I can respect his honesty. He doesn't think it's EU foreign reps' business to dictate jack sh*t to Serbia. He thinks it would be better to recognise but it's his personal opinion & not one on behalf of his country. It only seems better because he knows what rotten scum are dictating within the EU framework, and also the US putting in their two cents.

When asked if Kosovo Serbs could at least get autonomy, he said that he was not in a position to say.

Ridiculous. Serbian autonomy in Serbia? Autonomy in an occupation? These expert diplomats and politicians get paid so much taxpayer money for doing nothing. Go check the situation on the ground, the only Serbs the Albanian nationalists could manage to subdue are the ones locked in ethnic ghettos below the Ibar. The North is too large of a concentration (no pun) of Serbs for the nationalists in Pristina to have their way.

Relations between Serbia and Lithuania have been tense since the election for the UN General Assembly president and unsuccessful privatization of the BIP brewery"

If a brewery is the symbol for bilateral realtions it looks not good for Serbia in the future towards EU...it will be a very dirty and low struggle for little properties betwen EU-mebers, who gets the most from Serbia
