He's forgotten this under Article 1 of the Charter - Principles and Purposes of the United Nations:

"To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of *** equal rights and self-determination of peoples ***, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace;..."

It's not just the rights of member states and their governments that the UN was designed to protect.

"UN General Assembly President Vuk Jeremić has said that the international organization is today especially important to smaller and weaker states. He expressed the belief that with time, the principles of the UN on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of member states would gain even more importance."

And I express the belief that UN will not only protect states and sovereignty, but will protect the people living on certain states against amok-running dictators and violent 'presidents'.

But Serbia was not tyrannical, and Kosovo is not yet a member state so it does not deserve the unconditional kindness of the UN right Jeremic? Hypocrite.
