Maybe you should go to an Albanian site where you won't be getting censored. They are known for their tolerance.
The rubbish that gets through from you and Albanians on this site proves that B92 is definitely not biased but unless EVERYTHING you write gets through you will claim that they are.

Again, if not happy go to an Albanian site or try the Croatian one. I am sure they will welcome you.

To the folks here that use the lousy history between Serbs and Albanians as an excuse to continue with future lousy policies towards each other...maybe they need to remember that countries that fought each other during the 2 world wars (and lost far more people than Albania and Serbia in the past few centuries combined) still managed to overcome that history and do things like create the EU for example.

It's not impossible, it just takes a willingness to move forward. That's it.

Btw., I've only heard the term "natural enemies" in the context of animals....natural predators and what not.

To use it in the context of human beings, well, I'd say that's pretty absurd.

We should recognize what brings us together, since in the past we lost pace in many things," Mrkić told Tanjug.

What brings Serbia and Albania together? Two countries without a common boarder, both very weak in economy, Serbia is land-locked. Serbs and Albanians are historic enemies and the ast war is just over. OK, both countries are heavily involved in non-legal businesses-is this the common ground?

It was waste of time to travel to Tirana. Serbia will anly for the EU play "we are good friends" and we "have many common projects". Not at all. It would it make easier for Serbia to say farewell to the Albanian past and to go ahaed. The US asked many times, Serbia should decide: Kosovo or EU. This means also, if Serbia is deciding for the EU to sy bye to the Albanians. But Serbia is going back to places where they are not welcome. Go never back to place where you were unhappy. Serbia should open a new chapter-away from Albanians. The Albanians fought a bloody war against the Serbs. This was not a "misunderstanding" and now we are again friends. To hear that Serbia should recognize Kosovo is it not worth to travel to Albania. But Serbia will only make signals to the EU: we are doing all what you want, also if it looks stupid.

"Long live the sqiptars" I bet you wouln't say that if you had them terrorising your territory. And how come you croats, or should I say Iranians, kicked albanians out of Croatia during operation storm if you love them so much? Also, rumour says that halv of croatias population are of iranian descent, and the other half are catholized serbs? In other words, you are a made up people.

@ZERA and Rovena,
Is all about the money.
People in Vraka call themselves serbo-montenegrin.They have an assossiation Serbian-Montenegrin Lague something like that.Sothey play with both Serbia and Montenegro when it comes to money.
But honeslty they are good citizens of Albania, and horror what MikeC has presentet I dont know where did he got it.

Albania recognises 5 different minority groups and u can find them in PM web site.
Their number will be published in December but all accounts they dont go more than 5% of Albania population. Also we know that 70% of Albanians didnt declare any religion,so only 30% are muslim, orthodox and catholic and others.
As for macedonians or bullgrians in Prespa they are 9 villages and play with both sides Bulgaria and FYROM when they get the money and benefits.Last election they voted for Berisha's coalition.

For bosniaks they are muslim, but still they play with Serbia and BH when it comes to extra money and aid.Last elections Durres bosniak voted for Berisha coalition while Fier's ones for Socialists.
Also there is a greek minority which compresses 90 villages in Dropull and Vurg in South Albania. They did vote for Berisha coalition 45% for Socialists 40-45% and olny 10% for greek party.

I think this visit was a positive thing because both sides agree in some fields and dissagree in others ,Kosovo,Preshevo etc.We need more visits like this,so people like MikeC&co will be a real minority in our countries.

I think it's the same eagle that Albanians "found" and Serbs stole. As the legend goes the double headed eagle had one Albanian brain and one Serbian bird brain and it died horribly picked it self too death who said two heads are better then one. @ZERA. I don't have any website or study over this argument, but the situation is exactly as Mirel depicted it. There are some villages near Shkodra (the most known one is Vraka) that have a montenegrin speaking community and also a quartier in Shokdra is known as the Podgoricani quartier (it is very interesting to note that the podgoricani of Shkodra that claim their montenegrin origin are muslims). It is a small community, but it exists and it is also true that during the communist times they were not allowed to live their nationality openly. Which is, i stress, a very bad thing. The macedonian villages are around Korca, so no connection exist between these two communites. It is easy to understand that it is a question of territorial continuity (we're talking about border cities). It is different the story of the bosniak community near Fier which is clearly a question of immigration of the last century (or nearby). Now, the fact is that obviously there is no serbian community in Albania, there is no territorial continuity between Albania proper and Serbia and the monetegrin communities are simply montenegrin. Now, which is the difference between montenegrins and serbs it is not my issue, nor my worry, but it is a fact that the two claim to be different people, and as we know, there are two different states. It is clear that Serbia uses this similarity to pretend that there is a serbian community in albania, while in the reality we're only talking about montenegrins.

Probably there are a few of them (because of reasons connected with work) but they're too few to even be considered a minority.

@ Ardi Asllani,
There are 3-4 villages in Vraka,Shkoder where the people speak serbian.
They call themselves serbo-montenegrin and they usually meet with both serbian and montenegrin politicans.
If you ask them, they say are serbian when is a serbian money involve or montenegrin when Montenegro offers them help.
Like macedonian minority in Korca. There are 9 villages who speak macedonian, but when Bulgaria gets involve they call themselves bullgarian, when FYROM gives them money, they call themselves macedonian.

Slavik minority is concentrated in 9 villages in Prespa(macedonians or bullgarians) 3-4 villages in Vraka,Shkoder( serbian or montenegrian whatever call themselves) and 4 villages in Durres and 5 in Fier where are bosniak muslims. They call themselves serbs when Serbia gives them money or boniak ,when BH gives them aid.

Anyway the Albanian FM didnt use the word repression, but the word genocide against albanians from Milloshevich.Serbian FM said he was very uncomfortable or nervous when listens the word genocide and suggested that the historians should give their opinion about that.

Ardi Asllani

While in Tirana, Mrkić also conferred with representatives of the Serb minority "about the approach to the Albanian partners", in order to improve their living conditions, activities, education and contacts with their homeland.
