Ex-U.S. envoy "made sure Koštunica would lose elections"

When the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) lost elections in 2008, it was "the revenge of then U.S. Ambassador Cameron Munter", a Belgrade tabloid is reporting.

As we can see the West suppresses uncorrupted political leaders and supports corrupted ones.

Can I have your permission to send this into Reader's digest for their new section "Serb's say the funniest things"?

"Exactly. And what the former US Ambassador failed to realize also was that the US Marines who were normally stationed in front of the embassy, were there the day before, were there the morning of, and were there the morning after, but were conveniently absent the night of the large protests. "

It is not the job of the Marines to defend an embassy against street rioters - that's the job of the host nation, under the Vienna Convention. The Marines are there to protect encryption devices and documents. The Germans, who specifically asked for police protection after the riot started and were promised protection that never arrived seemed interested in making public exactly what happened.

I wonder if US forces were conveniently absent in Banghazi last week too? :)

No, Kostunica was only responsible for removing or not sending police forces to protect the embassies, like it's usually done in normal countries. "Setting things on fire" was simply left to the well known nationalist groups and extremist mob which is good for any riot in Belgrade.

Exactly. And what the former US Ambassador failed to realize also was that the US Marines who were normally stationed in front of the embassy, were there the day before, were there the morning of, and were there the morning after, but were conveniently absent the night of the large protests. So if there was something planned, either the US Embassy knew of it and didn't do anything, or was in on a conspiracy that never happened until 5 minutes before it happened. And what if all of this were true? The US succeeded in getting rid of the obstacle of Kostunica and replaced him with the equally big obstacle of Dacic? Bravo America. Once again you fail to look more than 5 minutes into the future.

Koštunica would never do that just the Serb police did not read his mind only after the fact. Now Serbs Koštunica is thinking in the picture try to read his mind. Practise he mite one day be back in government you all should intuitively read his Serb mind. So he dose not have to spell out everything shish.

If one chooses to believe this story the really interesting point is the accomplices, the 2 strongest of the 5 countries yet to recognize Kosovo.

Funny how I mentioned the West destroyed the DSS in the past and some didn't believe me. Well, here Munter confirms it himself.

As for the burning of the US embassy, what does one expect when attempting to thieve 15% of Serbia's territory? Look at what the US/NATO did to the Chinese embassy in Belgrade. They bombed it and killed innocent people, just like the RTS building (war crimes that were never punished).

The DSS continues to have my support as the only party that has stood firm in its policies. Policies that tend to align with my views.

There thoughts:

1. Old news, nice details, US would have done it regardless of what he had to do with the fire

2. Kostunica is the only uncorrupted politician Serbia has known in memory. If the Progressives sh*t the bed or get sold out by the Socialists, he will reestablish his party and seriously contend for the presidency.

3. Hate to say it, but the Lybians showed more compitance.

Party spokesman Petar Petković said in a statement that Munter was reaching for "huge and coarse deception" when he said Koštunica had "set anything on fire".
