Of course he wants a new trial, without that delay there is the possibility his trial will end before his life and he will have to move from Hague Hilton to a real prison.

"The beginning of the defense evidence presentation in Karadžić's case was scheduled for October 16."

Wonder if they will kill him before them or make him ill the way they did to Milosevic just as the defense evidence presentation was starting.

Karadzic is right. This haphazard, arbitrary, "guilty without proof" trend to convict Serbs, whilst it is obvious that atrocities were committed on all sides. Suspects on Croatian, Albanian and Muslim side get a semblance of a fair trial and a lot of perpetrators aren't even indicted whilst Serbs are persecuted almost exclusively and relentlessly, with a goal to perpetuate anti-Serb propaganda.
I suppose the old saying does state that "everything is permitted in love/hate and war" but this is just mindless, lawless, arrogant persecution on the basis of nationality.

"By the beginning of the trial in October 2009, the Hague forwarded to Karadžić 1,625 testimonies and witnesses' statements on a total of 224,448 pages, but failed to present him with 406 more documents of the kind. "

Did he request more time to read all the 240,000 pages on his own? Ah, no, that was Milosevic :)

Gen Mladic should have a mistrial, and Gen Krstic's conviction should be overturned. Justice must prevail. In fact, everything needs to be revisited after what we know today.
