Don't talk to us about names when the majority of your leaders have Croatian names...TOMISLAV Nikolic, IVICA Dacic, IVO Stambolic etc.

Also for that fool that mentioned I love all YU people....there is no such thing as a Yugoslav..Your beloved Tito and Yugoslavia have perished into oblivion..Please don't mention that sick name anymore !

Serbia was refused to compeat for a long time thanks to you croats. So no wonder you were more successful when Serbia wasn't allowed to compeat. However, do you remember the European championships in baskeball in Greece some years ago? Where the croat team left the ceremony as soon as the gold medalists Serbia entered? Those were the days!
(MikeC, 31 July 2012 17:08) It was Serbia's war criminal leadership and its fanatic fascist criminal followers that made Serbia a pariah. @Bekim,
I am not doubting your success story since there are other albanians who were successful in Belgrade such as Bekim Fehmiu.
I am from Albania, but man I used to listen and watch Belgrade tv during Hoxha's time until 1990.Every dnevnik, used to start and end Albanian nationalizm and seperatism and was full of insults against albanians .
I can imagine what kind of "friendly" Albanian news were being broadcast after 1990-s when the war started.
Now u can chose to ignore this and tell to yourself that you are living in a very friendly envirement,
or tell the truth about serbian state policy which was and is racist and fascist against Albanisns and has been like this since 1878.
The first choice may give you a lot of success, but also it will take its own toll since u r not from stone but flash and blood.Bekim Fahmiu was the same.
The second choise it may not give you the best career or oportunities but it gives peace with yourself by telling the truth, not the one where albanians are evil and serbs some drunken people who are having fun.
For God sake,Nikolic was telling serbian people that in Northen Mitro people are living in genocide, while u r telling me everything is fine between sebs and albanians.
I have been in Belgrade myself in 1995 en route to Vienna, and stayed few hours and I didnt have any problems(except that our bus was not allowed to stop anywhere in Kosova),but it doesnt mean that in Bosnia at the same time serbs were not killing and raping people.

i dont know any people from the area who have had problems in Serbia. On the contrary, everyone is welcome, except for terrorists and separatists trying to hurt us, and even they if they put their views forward legitimately and politely. Yugoslavs know Serbs are friendly people but many still live off the Serbophobia that worked well for them in the past.

ben said, "In the Christian orthodox doctrine if you don’t have autocephaly church you don’t have a nation."

What an ignorant comment and absolutely untrue.

People (these new so-called democrats), who for 50 years brutally persecuted the Orthodox Church in Montenegro, now use the Christian church for their own political gain.

The Serbian Orthodox church should not recognize this "MOC". The so-called Montenegrin Orthodox Church is considered non-canonical and a schismatic organization. The Ecumenical Patriarch does not recognize this group nor does any canonical Eastern Orthodox Church in the world.

Miras Dedeic was not even a member of the Orthodox clergy when he proclaimed himself metropolitan of this "MOC" organization. Dedeic was defrocked and returned to the order of laity by the decision of the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Orthodox Patriarchate of Constantinople in April of 1997. Dedeic was not a priest; he is an imposter.

You need to educate yourself and speak the truth so you don't look like a fool before you post such ignorant comments.

I’m simply amazed of how you people fail (or better choose to) not to understand that the problem in this case is political and only political. There is nothing as racism and human rights. On the contrary racism is form the Serbian side.

The owner of the restaurant asked the nun if she is working for the Serbian church in Njegose. She answered affirmatively.

The problem is that the Serbian church does not respect or acknowledge the right of the existence to the Montenegrin church. In the Christian orthodox doctrine if you don’t have autocephaly church you don’t have a nation. Ergo the Serbian denial of the existence of the Montenegrin church is denial of the existence of the Montenegrin nation.

Now if you add to that that all this is happening in Njegose which has huge symbolic and historical value to Montenegrins it is obvious that the members of the Serbian church could be treated as unwelcomed guests by native Montenegrins. If it was the other way around i’m sure that the Montenegrin church would have been blow in air by Shesheljes (President Nikolic’s) or Arkan’s uber Serbians long time ago. Yet the Serbian church is still alive and functioning in Njegose. So stop playing victims and dulls.

However, what was found out later is many Albanians from Kosovo* and Albania were allowed to vote in that referendum meanwhile Serbs who lived in Montenegro their whole lives but currently live in Serbia were not allowed the same privileges. And despite all that the results came out in a small majority favoring independence. And now that it is not raining milk and honey, the people realize that was a mistake. First of all,let me tell u guys that I dont support this montenegrin nationalist and the people supposed to sue this guy.
Secondly,Mike C,
Church is seperate from the state and although I dont support this idiotic act, unfortunately there is nothing much u can do.
In USA at least,u can see kind of dicrimination but not openly like this guy.
For example if u r black and go to an Irish pub to order a beer, your order may come after 1 hour, just to tell u that u r not welcome.
Or if u r white and go to a black bar, they will see u like u come from the moon and the bartender dont even come to pick up the order unless u r accompanied w a black.

Anyway,I am wondering this "nationalist" is montenegrin. His last name is 100% albanian and the name of the restaurant Kadmi is illyrian. Kadmi is the father of Iliri(the mother is Harmonia) which is the father of all illyrians.
Plus the montenegrins have more or less the same blood as albanians, their King was, married with Scanderbeg sister, and he unliked serbs, supported Scanderbeg till his death.
I am just saying this, that montenegrins(and even macadonians who have 20% orthodox albanian among them) have more common things with albanians that serbs.

They're the ones that actually believe Croatia is this superpower country that can destroy all their neighbors because they think all those tourists at the Dalmatian coast come because the love Croatia, not because Croatia's economy desperately relies on tourism. There are more derrogatory jokes in Croatia about Hercegovina Croats than Serbs, Bosnians and Albanians. Pay him no mind. No intelligent person in Croatia does.

Quite often historians will use linguistics as a forensic method in order to investigate & determine migration patterns with civilization of antiquity. This is true with the Egyptians, mongols Russian genetically aligned along with the Cossacks, Kazaks, Mongols, although,Russians accept the term Slav; it’s really a Latin term used during the Roman Empire to describe a slave purchased by a master from some other territory;quite similar to the American “slave” that was forced to the Americas from Africa. Not long ago (perhaps as early as 100 years ago) the Black American-African “Slave” accounted for 45%-55% of the population in North America. Can we than say that the Black “slave” was indigenous to the Americas and not the Native America? How foolish &absurd would that be? Historically, this type of phenomena whereby the native population is overcome by others is due to wealth, perversion that arises from the pinnacle reached by a great civilization which than begins to decline decay as a result of its wealth, laziness & perversion which than results in hiring mercenary soldiers and ultimately the collapse of “their” Nation. It happened with the Greeks, Romans, and yes with the Illyrians, Ottomans, shall I dare to name the most recent super power that’s “unknowingly” going through this same phase.due to air travel, technological advances & speed with just about every human factor has shorten this phase in quicker than the standard several hundred years of cycle turnaround.

My sister’s name is Vera; which translates to summer in present day Albanian. Now, keep in mind these are not your modern contemporary western influenced Albanian names, but instead very old names that for many hundreds of years were used and ones used by the ancient Illyrians to describe both their earthly and astrological surroundings.

Prior to the 7th Century Slav migration and arrival to Europe; ancient maps refer to Kosova as Dardania. By the way, the migration like with the Ottoman collapse which caused a void in supremacy and weakening; was similar after the Roman collapse around the same period of time as the Slav migration (7AD). If one translates the name Dardania in Albanian/Illyrian, it describes a land area know for the sweet pears that were once grown and cultivated during ancient times, prior to the Slav’s arrival. Association of geographically areas with agriculture that’s grown was quite common in ancient times as well as in modern contemporary time. Having lived in Southern California, specifically Orange County, and an area named for its citrus and the oranges that grew in abundance during the turn of the century 1920’s. One begins to understand the “LAND” name association. Dardania=KOSOVA.

Why shouldn’t a Montenegrin have the prerogative (after all he is a “Montenegrin) as to whom to cater to and whom not to provide service? After all Montenegrins are cousins with the Albanians and are themselves Albanians who simply were forced to add “vic” to their surname by the authoritative Serbian bureaucrats in Belgrade up until recently. In order to be just left alone and not be discriminated against; my own family changed their surname while living in Montenegro.

The question always arises as to the origin of Albanians; who as with the Hungarians called themselves and refer to themselves by their ancient and native tongue and not by their Roman/Venetians given names. For example, Montenegro was given its name by the Romans (Latin based) as a destination point crossing the Adriatic, because from a distance the mountains appeared black, henceforth, Monte-Negro. Albanians being the first Indo-Europeans and direct descendents of Illyrians appeared white to the Romans, who used ancient written Latin to describe Shqiptars as Albano, or white in appearance Albano translates to white in ancient written Latin. However, due to invasions, inter-marriages, etc., the population is much diverse today.

The Albanians/Shqiptars, Illyrians, whatever name one describes them co-existed with the ancient Greeks for thousands of years, both of whom practiced Paganisms and worshiped many Gods named after their surroundings, earthily and astronomically. For example, being of Albanian decent and a Catholic I’m constantly surprised by the usage of certain words/names used even in today’s modern times that provides an insight to ancient practiced paganism by the Illyrians/Albanians. Most Orthodox Slavs in Montenegro realize they are Serbian. However the cigarette cartel Titoists have a complete monopoly over this country and its institutions are anti-Serbian to their very teeth. Serbia needs to close the border to Montenegro, making it expensive to get there and spend money at the beaches, cease diplomatic relations and impose an embargo.

Montenegro can be a country if it so chooses too. But Serbia should never have relations with a anti-Serbian entity such as this. Stronger support is needed to the Serbian Orthodox Church as well as the pro-Serbian opposition.

Montenegro is a Serbian Republic. If the people of Montenegro somehow don't realize that fact, then turn to Croatia if you want and have no relations with Serbia, see how far that is going to get you.

My hypothesis is when forced to make a decision as where the people stand, the Crno Gorci will choose to stand with mother Serbia.

As an example, my aunt’s name is Hana which translates in Albanian/Illyrian language as Moon, my mother’s name is Dijela which translates in Albanian as Sun, my cousin whose name in Lula, translates into flower, my other cousin is called Drita used today in Albania meaning Light.

Not exactly Bganon. Montenegro's referendum only ended up 55.5% in favor and 45.5% against separation. And to be honest with you I don't want Montenegro to have equal republic status with Serbia it simply does not make sense that 650,000 people are the same as over 7 million. So that arrangement was not working either. With the Eurozone possibly crashing (MNE uses the Euro) they will have to turn to something since they are too small to make their own currency. Its either the Dinar or the Kula if they want to turn to Croatia then by all means do so but it is Serbia who needs to lay down the conditions of their partnership with the country.

My sister’s name is Vera; which translates to summer in present day Albanian. "Montenegrin Nationalism" should be declared by Serbia as a severe mental illness and the only possible reasons for such an illness is oxygen deficiency in the brain.

My hypothesis is when forced to make a decision as where the people stand, the Crno Gorci will choose to stand with mother Serbia.

...Besides in America everyone is not welcome everywhere....

This is yet another provocation which does not originate in the country where it occured. This man Mile is the creation of the west. His viewpoints are wishes of the west, of the SAD and its servent states. True Montenegrans are Serbs, and all the Western historic revisionism will not change that. Keep on trying gringos, Serbia will be a country when the SAD is long gone.

The disease of nationalism continues in the Balkans. I wonder if I, being half Serb and half Montenegrin, would be refused service in this vulgar person's restaurant? Or maybe I would get half a meal, for my Montenegrin side? Growing up, I never heard that we (Serbs and Montenegrins) were different people, but that we lived in different places. Now, in my middle age, I am confronted with an identity crisis, because of nationalistic imbeciles like this cafe owner.

Another moronic hardline nationalist. And I don't make allowances that somehow Montenegrin nationalism of this type is more acceptable than Serbian or Croatian ultra nationalism. Its all part of the same disease.

Ari Gold, Montenegro already made a decision where they stand when there was that referendum and it wasn't with Serbia. Of course people voted that way for a number of reasons, but those that benefited most was the Djukanovic regime with their criminal elite, Montenegrin nationalists.

ecoman don't for a second think this is a crisis of your own identity, the problem is with certain Montenegrins who are mostly being manipulated for one reason or another.

Ardi Asllani

pre 11 godina

650,000 people are the same as over 7 million. So that arrangement was not working either.
(Ari Gold, 30 July 2012 20:02)

Normal European Albanians do not go there as jihadist UCK killed some 7-8 thousands of them with families and later with the help of the West blamed it on Serb Army, the rest of killed Albanains in KiM were muslim terrorists and their supporters or unlawful combatants.

Bekim- thanks for speaking up. i dont know any people from the area who have had problems in Serbia. On the contrary, everyone is welcome, except for terrorists and separatists trying to hurt us, and even they if they put their views forward legitimately and politely. @Bekim,
I am not doubting your success story since there are other albanians who were successful in Belgrade such as Bekim Fehmiu.

Be less specific: Nationalism like that should be declared a mental illness in general, regardless if it is Montegerin, Serbian or Albanian.

When reading comments on B92, I got the impression that this illness is widely spread around the Balkans (strangely, especially amongst expatriates).

ben said, "In the Christian orthodox doctrine if you don’t have autocephaly church you don’t have a nation."
