Zoran SNS still had the option of refusing to bow to Dacic's demands. It should have been - no you cannot both be Prime Minister (Home Secretary) and force us to have G17 in government - you have no other option as you have torn up your agreement with DS. Or to call their bluff - is Dacic willing to provoke repeat elections because of his greed and blackmail? Does he really think that will go down well with the electorate with SNS, DS, the west and the media all preferring DS or SNS.

Perhaps the fact that there is a power vacuum at the top of SNS made them weaker and more willing to give in.

Still have their fingers in the pie eh Zoran, I thought Serbia was completely 'occupied' and that the west didn't want the SPS in government, much less Prime Minister. And I thought it was certain that the west had hatched a deal between DS and SNS. Oops.

Sorry but you do leave yourself open to this by making outlandish and somewhat extreme statements. I'm still hopeful that you will get a grasp on the way things work, they are not as simplistic as you paint them.

Why didn't SNS insist on having the Prime Minister role, as DS did for their candidate?

Who is to blame for SPS and G17 being in control? Which party is supporting them?

Well, now that the DS are not going to offer the PM role to the SNS, it seems like the SPS are the controlling force here. If it was the SNS then I assume the DSS would be a partner but since that is not the case, the EU/US still have their fingers in the pie.

Hope Nikolic can save us from these mobsters!

How can Nikolic save us from these 'mobsters' when he was the one who invited to form a government? Why didn't SNS insist on having the Prime Minister role, as DS did for their candidate?

Nikolic

Pity the SPS promised URS positions and influence. SNS gives SPS an enormous amount of influence. After being in power under Tadic, SPS and URS have now all power to dismantle Serbian democracy. Hope Nikolic can save us from these mobsters!
