Serbian plates “won’t be allowed in Kosovo”

Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Rexhepi said on Sunday that vehicles with Serbian license plates that have markings of Kosovo towns would not be allowed to enter Kosovo next week.

Those plates are from Tito's era, therefore are invalid since Yugo has long ago dissolved. Unfortunately we have Serbs from former YUGO that are still living with myths and just can't let go. Every other nation from former Yugo has left the past behind and moved forward to the future. What is wrong with Serbs???Anybody can explain the mystery?

As for EULEX, they will soon find it impossible to enter the north to enforce anything.

Nothing wrong with Serbs. You are just being fed an illusion. The plates on pretty much all cars in the north are newly released Serbian KM (Kosovska Mitrovica) plates.

As for EULEX, they will soon find it impossible to enter the north to enforce anything.

Last time I checked, it is a proven fact that the criminals that are in Kosovo live south of the Ibar River, I believe it was also proven that criminals run the so-called "independant state" of Kosovo

Almost ALL northern Kosovo Serbs VOTED against Prishtina institutions. Kosovo Serbs were not asked if they supported the agreement concerning license plates.
So it isn't their law and order, which they are blackmailed to fullfill.

It is their law and order if they consider themselves to be a part of Serbia, since it is Serbia who made the agreement...
Of course it is kind of disappointing to have Serbia make decisions that affect peoples' lives without soliciting their input or allowing them to vote. However, considering that even Serbia's constitution (which claims that Kosovo is an inalienable part of Serbia) was adopted without input from or a vote by the people living in Kosovo, so we really shouldn't expect any better from them.

As to your analogy, I beg to differ with you. You can sell all the food you want, but one can't buy with Serbian Dinars as they are worthless. Besides, Serbs are responsible for their own hunger and no one else.

Don't you think that is a silly analogy. Just because they call it an agreement on freedom of movement, does not mean that anyone can go anywhere, anyway they want. There would not need to be an agreement to that.
An agreement means that there are terms under which people have freedom of movement and with one of the terms is NOT that they have Serbian issued plates with Kosovo towns on them.
As far as the claim that it did not include north Kosovo would actually be a defacto recognition of everything south of the Ibar being part of an independent Kosovo and that Serbia only wants to negotiate status of the north.

I beg to differ that USA forces will ever leave ? Why ? Because they already said Bondsteel base is going to be a permanent livable building. Kosovo forces are still in its embryonic stage but will further strengthen as years pass by.
