None of this has any bearing, however, on my original point.

How ugly is the face of nationalism in the Balkans. This poor guy in the video probably has no idea of it's the Serbian thought-police or the Croatian thought-police visiting and interrogating him as to his ethnicity.

poor guys probably had the Croatian identity-police visiting him just a few days before.

There is no difference between Croatian and Serbian nationalism in this respect. They both feel entitled and empowered to tell other people what their identity is or isn't. You see this on this board all the time.

Why would I set up in Croatia, Peggy? What's with this strange binary thinking: if not Serbia, then Croatia.

I've already explained myself why I'm in Serbia. I'm taking advantage of the only advantage Serbia has - low wages. Wages in Croatia are too high. Same thing with India.

Thanks for your concern, though. I try to get out of this dump as often as I can. Overall, I'm probably less in Serbia than I am outside of Serbia.

Thanks again for your concern.

Once again, since you're making me repeat myself, I'll repeat that it amuses me to contemplate that I do more concrete good in Serbia (with the several people I employ) every month than you'll do in your entire life.

That makes me smile.

I agree, but then what are you doing in Serbia?
Why didn't you set your shop up in Croatia?

Mick, abandon your Seselj-issued fairy tales. No one believe that ludicrous myth but Seselj-educated follows. 1931 Vukovar was an overwhelming German-speaking town. Oops, or should I say Germanised Serbs who were forced to speak German and adopt German names and convert to Catholicism.

This is why Croatia is wary of Nikolic. Can anyone honestly blame them?

Danilo

That's a pretty ugly video, Mick.

And I'm talking about the boorish interviewer at the end harassing that man and his father as to what their ethnic identity is. What's it to them?

Nothing a nationalist hates more than someone he perceives as a 'traitor' to their ethnicity. What a bunch of ugly would-be autocrats. They'd like to kill that old man. absolutely disgusting.
