Montenegro is only a tourist destination,it has nothing to trade but rocks, without the Adriatic and Ostrog its nothing.

What is wrong with that, tourism attracts rich people who invest in the country which makes real estate go up. It also has a port, which makes it easy to trade with. There is a lot more to Montenegro then their beaches and ostrog. You clearly haven't traveled through the country.

"... first regime to fall when the Euro-zone (which Montenegro is surprisingly apart of) officially collapses."
(Ari Gold, 29 April 2012 12:07)

Montenegro is not part of the Euro zone, but is one of the small countries (including the wannabe-country called Kosovo*) that down't have an own currency and are only using the Euro currency. They are not members of the European central bank, and cannot issue own coins and banknotes.

The only countries of southeast Europe that still are not WTO members are Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

hmm, I wonder WHY?

Maybe to add: Only because Kosovo is not a country, it is not included in this 'missing list' :)

"The WTO membership will allow Montenegro to solve problems in a constructive manner, reduce cost of living, allow better choice of goods and services, increase in the foreign trade and help combat against corruption."

How is this going to help Montenegro fight against corruption when the very existence of this state is based on former communists and at one time Serbian nationalists who are rewriting the history of Montenegro's origins.

Anyway this WTO membership will amount to nothing, meanwhile there are weekly protests over the Djuko regime and expect that to be the first regime to fall when the Euro-zone (which Montenegro is surprisingly apart of) officially collapses.
