Not only the north, the whole Kosovo. Serbia is propagating that 'Kosovo is Serbia' to please the nationalists, while the politicians/criminals in Pristina doing all they can to keep the situation tense and keep the status quo. Why? Because a non-functional state is the best location for mafia business and all sort of criminality you mentioned before. So that's why the politicians in Pristina (or better say: their clans) benefit from the situation.
Ironically, Afghnistan is far away, but the situation is very similar: A central government with no authority, with the head of state's family being heavily involved in corruption and crime, while the regions are ruled of local clans/warlords who keep the population oppressed, manipulate the elections, and the whole state is a economic black hole, with the exception of drug business.

I am not that young as you think. I am from Albania, my grand parents came from Kosovo to Albania long time ago. I was told because of Serbian army, but as you saying they must have been wrong, thanks to you now I understand that was Serbian church, and my grands should have been in churches land.
As for roads hospitals and etc. All those you mention Serbians, Croatians Slovakian, must have done their best, that's how you explain Kosovo was in the end in everything when it comes to economy.
Presidency? First it tells you till then it was entity of yugo and not part of Serbia. Can you tell me when was taken way the autonomy? And how come 100% of police were Serbian in Kosovo where there was only 7% of population as that, must have been Sinan Hasani that send them in Kosovo. As for the rights, just one reminder, the president of the presidency of ex Yugoslavia from 1985 to 1987 was Sinan Hasani from Kosovo and Metohija....Now, please imagine that some Serb (from very few who nowdays remained in Kosovo and Metohija) is being elected a president of Kosovo and Metohija. I think it is not possible from two reasons, you have expelled all Serbs from their homes and secondly your xenophoby and racial hate towards everybody who is not a Kosovo Albanian is a strong blockade for most of you. So, once again, everything you have now was built by Serbs, Croats, Slovenians etc. And finally, the land you populate is not yours because cadastral books say it is a Serbian land in the property of many Serbian monasteries, abducted and illegally occupied by many of your countrymen. But just like that, Kosovo Albanians should stop to blame Serbs in the northern part for their 'country' Kosovo being a black hole and lawless state. No, it's your own mafia clans who strongly interfere and are connected with politics and state officials. You won't become a respected state with European standards until you finally realize that you have to leave these people from the past and war criminals still in power behind and start to build a democratic society based on rule of law and equal rights for all citizens (not only on the paper, but in reality) instead of the rule of clan loyalty, patronage, nationalism, ethnic hate and corruption.

The North Kosovo is being used by both sides I agree Serbian Politicians and Albanian every time there is some movment for change in Kosovo to change our corrupt poleticians there is an Incident in the North, and Serbia the same.
I have the feeling that political elite when they meet abroad drink with each other and joke how they are taking all for a ride.
So I hope this gets solved soon, smuggling that is happening its gets pushed to Kosovo Serbian and Albanian smugglers work together in Drugs, Gas, Prostitution as we saw few weeks ago.
Serbian and Albanin's can and will live together !!!

Dacic is prancing around like a ballarena saying election should be held. Who is running the show in Serbia? Not that I'm concerned because Serbian disunity means Albanian unity and progress! However, how can Serbians take their country seriously when they have so many differing opinions and views? Its a Serbian circus. Watching Serbian politicians is like watching clowns making fun of each others size 30 clown shoes.

First of all, it wasn't kidnapping and they were lucky not to be tried for treason because they are the ones destabilizing their own country. It's all a matter of perspective isn't it?
The Democratically Elected Honourable Leader of the SPS doing his best to ensure that he works with UNMIK to provide Democracy to those People who want it, because Democracy is the way of Modern Europe.
There are different views, but in a Proper Democracy there will always differences of opinions, and differences of approach, because Tadic and the DS are against Democracy.
The Democratically Elected Honourable Leader of the SPS is different to Tadic and the DS, because he is working to have Elections held according to Serbian Laws, which is a Vital part of fulfilling European Demands to promote a Constitutional Democracy.
The Albanians of Kosovo can learn from this, where some Kosovo Albanians begin to reject, Hatred, Terrorism, and Lies, because these things only lead to Poverty.
Regrettably, it is the Albanians of Serbia’s Province of Kosovo who are causing instability in the Region, because of scheming to confiscated Election Material, and saying that they could arrest People who organizing and exercising People’s Human Rights, and People’s Democratic Right to Elect Representatives who will Represent their Interests.
We have had recent proof of Kosovo Albanians Authorities causing instability in the Region with the recent incidences in FYROM, and with the Illegal incursions of Kosovo Albanian Police who were arrest, charged, and later released.
The United Nations Six Point Plan for Kosovo is the International Legal Basis for holding these Elections in Kosovo, and Tadic and the DS are the ones who responsible for the Delays in assisting UNMIK to organize these Elections, because he wants to give away Kosovo if Tadic and the DS win the Elections.

What a hypocrisy of the most comments on this news!!! It seems that everybody forgets how Albaninan nationalists and separatists in former Yugoslavia had boycotted the previous political system avoiding to take active part in it and making their parallel structures and elections. It was OK at the time and now Serbs cannot organize their elections in Kosovo and Metohija??? Very interesting. After making a massive ethnic cleansing and trying to fulfill their eternal dream of creating one race state, Albanians here hold lessons about moral and democracy! Look Gjon, I don't know how old are you but if you're too young, please ask your fathers and grandfathers to tell you who built everything you use now in Kosovo and Metohija. If they want to be perfectly honest, they will say that schools, faculties, hospitals, factories, kindergartens , everything was built by the money that came primarily from Serbia and then from other republics of the former Yugoslavia. As for the rights, just one reminder, the president of the presidency of ex Yugoslavia from 1985 to 1987 was Sinan Hasani from Kosovo and Metohija....Now, please imagine that some Serb (from very few who nowdays remained in Kosovo and Metohija) is being elected a president of Kosovo and Metohija. I think it is not possible from two reasons, you have expelled all Serbs from their homes and secondly your xenophoby and racial hate towards everybody who is not a Kosovo Albanian is a strong blockade for most of you. So, once again, everything you have now was built by Serbs, Croats, Slovenians etc. And finally, the land you populate is not yours because cadastral books say it is a Serbian land in the property of many Serbian monasteries, abducted and illegally occupied by many of your countrymen. The conclusion: if you get into a tavern and have some drinks, you cannot go out just like that without paying your bills. Some day, you will have to pay all the invoices.

I am not that young as you think. I am from Albania, my grand parents came from Kosovo to Albania long time ago. I was told because of Serbian army, but as you saying they must have been wrong, thanks to you now I understand that was Serbian church, and my grands should have been in churches land.
As for roads hospitals and etc. All those you mention Serbians, Croatians Slovakian, must have done their best, that's how you explain Kosovo was in the end in everything when it comes to economy.
Presidency? First it tells you till then it was entity of yugo and not part of Serbia. Can you tell me when was taken way the autonomy? And how come 100% of police were Serbian in Kosovo where there was only 7% of population as that, must have been Sinan Hasani that send them in Kosovo. And that Serbian cadastral books, was really funny.

Not only the north, the whole Kosovo. Serbia is propagating that 'Kosovo is Serbia' to please the nationalists, while the politicians/criminals in Pristina doing all they can to keep the situation tense and keep the status quo. Why? Because a non-functional state is the best location for mafia business and all sort of criminality you mentioned before. So that's why the politicians in Pristina (or better say: their clans) benefit from the situation.
Ironically, Afghnistan is far away, but the situation is very similar: A central government with no authority, with the head of state's family being heavily involved in corruption and crime, while the regions are ruled of local clans/warlords who keep the population oppressed, manipulate the elections, and the whole state is a economic black hole, with the exception of drug business.
Wasn't this the tactics Milosevic used to help incite the Serbs against the Albanians? Constantly telling the Serbs that the Albanians are the source of all their problems?
You should be aware that for as long as I remember Albanians in Kosovo have been blamed for every bad things that has happened to failed policies of Belgrade. You might want to know that I grew up with my grandfather, and I am almost as old as you. We are taking about 3 generations here of blaming.
