"The Serbs will boycott the Brnjak administrative crossing until those “who are making a border with central Serbia” leave."

Kosovo* customs officers cannot leave the crossings because UNMIK has decided that customs taxes have to be paid for goods destined to Kosovo*. But certainly Serbs are free to not go from Kosovo* to Serbia or viceversa for as long as they wish.

"Ristić stressed that the Serbs would not use the crossing until their requests were fulfilled. “You cannot block every road and lock the people in a cage,” Ristić stressed."

Of course not; as the article states the crossings are open. But, of course, nobody is going to force people to go from Kosovo* to Serbia or viceversa.

"What are the point of those crossings now that the alternative roads provide free and unrestricted access into central Serbia? "

That is called smuggling. It is punishable by laws of Serbia and Kosova.

So they got tired of erecting barricades? It kind of makes sense. It takes a lot of work to erect a barricade. Work = Force * Distance, where Force = mass * g. And the mass of the logs and gravel etc etc is very big, so the work is very large. On the other hand, the work done by EULEX is just to drive around, so they don't spend so much energy. In the long run Serbs will figure it is not worth it. They may have had a kick of adrenaline and entertainment in the first days, but then it gets boring and the barricade game gets old. No fun.

You cannot block every road and lock the people in a cage,” Ristić stressed

This guy is a no brainer. He locks himself in the cage and tries to blame others for his stupidity.

Once the IBM kicks in fully, the last holes in the fence will be closed. It is not so difficult to control the 2 main roads and the 4-5 alternative passages. Even Serbia started to shut down those alternative passages. Of course, there is still the possibility to cross the green border lines, but this is not so effective. At a certain point, it will be to much of a hassel and, frankly, quite funny to watch a Yugo ending in a mud hole.

In the next weeks, it will be finished and the borders will be completely in full control of Prishtina. The most important points are already.

Cheers!

He said that he did not expect that alternative roads in Ibarski Kolašin would be closed.

EULEX using helicopters to get "Kosova"* people to sit around and twiddle their thumbs all day. It is no wonder the EU is broke.
