If Seselj were innocent he would have turned himself in and would be a free man today. Obviously, he knew he was guilty, otherwise why would he go into hiding with the help of the Serbian gov't.

As a matter of fact Seselj DID SURRENDER himself.....

«...zero knowledge of Seselj»,

We all know that Seselj is a ultra-nationalist and all he has said prior to the war is now playing against him. And what he has said again and again for years, between 1991 and 1995, are public documents... and part of our common history. Have you read, Trizo, what Seselj said if Bosnia declared its independance? For the records, he said that «rivers of blood would flow». And it happened, as he sais, and the blood of 40 000 Serbs has been wasted in vain!

This is the reason this NATO court has failed. After wasting several billions, it has not achieved its intended purpose of convincing the Serbs that NATO is right and Serbs are wrong. In fact, it has had the opposite effect and has shown this kangaroo NATO court to be political in nature.

When it came to Saddam, they thought they would save their pennies and go for a quick show trial and hang him, which also backfired. The new method is just a bullet to the head, which is what they did to Gaddafi. This is what has become of the US and the West. They are now petty criminals with big guns.
(Zoran, 8 March 2012 19:48)
I really do not think that the goal was ever to convince Serbs that NATO is right and Serbs are wrong. Its goal was to provide justice for the victims of the Yugoslav wars. It has found that the majority of perpetrators of these crimes have been Serbian.
Your comments are not new to this situation. Whether you be in the US, Russia, China, Serbia, Malaysia, or Timbuktu, the people being found guilty and their associates will always say the court system is corrupt and unfair.
The ironic part of yours and others posts about the ICTY is that it was commissioned and funded and overseen by the UNSC, the very people that you claim is the only ones that can oversee the organ harvesting allegations. It has a mixture of judges from both NATO and non NATO countries. It has always had a judge from China(you know the really strong member and supporter of NATO).
When you stand on one soap box facing one way and saying the investigation and justice system created by the UNSC is corrupt and a sham and then turn around and say the UNSC is the only competent body that can set up a fair and impartial investigation and justice system, it becomes apparent that you are a member of the group of people who like to hear their own voice but never have anything worthy of saying.

Trizo,

This "troll" (or as others seem to refer to me, "Otporist") isn't presuming Seselj's guilt. As ever, I'm only interested in facts and justice with respect to individual cases, and that goes for suspects belonging to every Balkan nation, not just Serbs.

A lot of the guys coming out in defense of Seselj (maybe you're one, maybe you're not) strike me as being on the end of the spectrum opposite to the one you (seemingly) accuse people like me of being on -- they're basically declaring the guy innocent no matter what.

As I said yesterday, the ICTY certainly has its flaws, but are you honestly going to argue that a Belgrade or Moscow court could do better? Sorry it's not to your liking, but that's all you're going to get. You can call this victors' justice, but isn't that a crucial part of the bigger picture that I was telling you that guys like Milosevic failed to consider when they chose war over peace? All part of the price of losing.

Maybe it's wrong for Seselj to be there based on his personal part in the conflicts, but the fact remains that he was indicted. We all know that there are a lot cases around the world where suspects are proven innocent and they're set free. Perhaps Seselj would be one of these, but we need to wait and see. Have you taken the time to review all of the evidence? Were you around Vukovar and the Drina when his paramilitaries were in action? Can you speak to the facts surrounding his authority or financing of the men in his formation accused of war crimes? Are you absolutely certain that Milosevic wasn't using people like Seselj, Arkan and Lukic to carry out, as he himself once allegedly put it to Hrvoje Sarinic (Tudjman's envoy to Belgrade), his "dirty work" in Bosnia and Croatia?

And what of Seselj's theatrics? The hunger strikes? The arrogant, boisterous pronouncements in court that ought to make any sensible member of the Serbian nation feel embarrassed? I, for one, find his court room demeanor disgraceful. Why can't he just conduct himself like the ingenious legal professional he proclaims himself to be? If the indictment against him would be so absurd and potically motivated, surely he ought to understand that he'd be vulnerable to increasingly unfair treatment by continually provoking the irrational and unjust institution holding him without merit. Why disclose classified names in a book or whatever when that unfortunate newspaper editor from Podgorica, Jovanovic, is being convicted for contempt? I think the guy is out of his mind and has done himself no favors at the Hague.

But then again, all of these prominent Serbian suspects (deceased and living) strike me as deeply disturbed individuals. Both of Milosevic's parents killed themselves, and his widow is rumored to be schizophrenic. What does that say about him? Mladic once referred to Karadzic as a psychiatrist who should consider prescribing himself anti-psychotic drugs. Mladic's daughter, at the time a medical student in Belgrade, committed suicide in 1994. Gee, what might have been troubling her, do you think? Seselj was said to be viciously abused while serving prison time in his younger years -- you think that might scar a man mentally? Milosevic fired Martic because the guy couldn't function due to alcoholism.

You really want to stand behind such a motley crue of politicians?

Of course he is more convincing than the prosecution. The prosecution has not managed to find any evidence linking him directly to crimes, rather only speeches. One doesn't have to be an expert in law to realise that certain types of speech, aggressive or not, do not constitute as war crimes, only idiots and people who are desperate to see Seselj shut away believe such nonsense.

It never ceases to amaze me that the trolls that come here to disparage Serbs can say so confidently that Seselj should pay for this and that and hell and bla bla bla when he is innocent until proven guilty. Do any trolls have a good argument against this? Do they know something we don't? Do they have their own live footage?

So, in concluding that the trolls on this website do not have any material evidence and probably zero knowledge of Seselj, there is no reason for anyone to reply or address their comments.

I think that Seselj's trial was more of a vaudeville than a trial, not beceause of the Court but because os Seselj who in so many ways delayed the procedure. Nonetheless, Seselj, because of his stances and speeches, has a responsability about the war crimes committed. A leader of a militia is accountable for the crimes committed. I don't think that the militias he sent in Boania played cards with the Bosnians.

We all know that the Guilty Verdict has been determined for those the Western Politicians and Western Media Slandered as being Guilty, because they know that they would look like Evil Fools if those Innocent People were to be decaled Innocent.

Vojislav Seselj is on trial for saying: “If we cannot grab all their NATO planes, we can grab those within our reach, like various Helsinki committees, and Quisling groups. To those who we prove have participated in the service of foreign propaganda and those are the Voice of America, Deutsche Welle, Radio Free Europe, Radio France International, and the BBC radio service etc. If we find them in the moment of aggression they should not expect anything good.”

I personally judge Deliberately Maliciously Lying Journalists to be Accomplices to War Criminals, and that makes them War Criminals that should be put on Trial and put in prison if they are found guilty of helping Foreign Governments murder Innocent People.

We all say things at times in the heat of the moment, and we should look at the comments of former American President George Bush and others who for months called for the Murder of Iraqis over the Deliberately bogus calm of weapons of mass destruction, and why are not these People on Trial, for not only what they said, but what they have done.

Vojislav Seselj has been on trial for seven years, and we all know that the Kangaroo Court can make nearly anyone their Puppet, and we do not know if there has been any pressure or incentive on Vojislav Seselj to go along with NATO’s desperate need to whitewash their Evil Crimes against Humanity of how they Persistently perpetrated in a Premeditate way, the Physical, Cultural, and Economic Genocide against the Innocent Serbian People, while blaming the Innocent Serbian People, and doing this in the supposed Civilized Europe of all places.

We will always know that the American led NATO, their Kangaroo Courts, and much of the Western Mainstream Media are Evil Scum, and even if Vojislav Seselj should admit to being an extra Scum in this World, then it does not change even in the slightest anything with regard to the American led NATO, or to the NATO Kangaroo Court, or to much of the Western Mainstream Media.

Seselj was said to be viciously abused while serving prison time in his younger years -- you think that might scar a man mentally? Milosevic fired Martic because the guy couldn't function due to alcoholism.

You really want to stand behind such a motley crue of politicians?

If Seselj were innocent he would have turned himself in and would be a free man today. Obviously, he knew he was guilty, otherwise why would he go into hiding with the help of the Serbian gov't.

This journalist (not a legal expert) offering her opinion on the quality of witnesses in the Seselj trial might want to consider the views offered by Mark Harmon, a retired ICTY prosecutor whose work at the Hague began way back at the beginning with the Tadic trial and only recently concluded with that of Karadzic:

«...zero knowledge of Seselj»,

We all know that Seselj is a ultra-nationalist and all he has said prior to the war is now playing against him. And what he has said again and again for years, between 1991 and 1995, are public documents... and part of our common history. Have you read, Trizo, what Seselj said if Bosnia declared its independance? For the records, he said that «rivers of blood would flow». And it happened, as he sais, and the blood of 40 000 Serbs has been wasted in vain!

Zoran, don't I know it! Hey, I never claimed to be a fan of the guys running Wall Street or Capitol Hill. If they'd ever set up an ICTUSA to try Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and others, I'd be a VERY happy man!

As a matter of fact Seselj DID SURRENDER himself.....
