Orthodox church set on fire in Macedonia

According to Beta news agency, ethnic Albanians in Macedonia "also reacted" to Macedonian fans, who, while supporting their national team in the European Handball Championship held in Serbia, chanted "anti-Albanian slogans". Well, what can one say about this, except be shocked. To burn a centuries old church with valuable icons, in response to someone wearing a mask that may have insulted Islam, and for chanting anti-Albanian slogans, is beyond comprehension. Should Orthodox believers burn a mosque in the Balkans every time an Albanian throws a stone at a non-Albanian? What the hell do you do with people like these? What does a religious structure have to do with fans at a handball game? Can some proud Albanian explain that to me? And do you believe Albanians are justified in destroying religious monuments of non-Islam worshippers?

are just some of the "cheatings" that FYROMians did in the last 6 months. If one wants to keep record of all provocations for the past years one can write entire volums.

Yet Albanian parties in FYROM do not even leave the govt. They are super loyal to a fashist Govt of Grievski.

It is obvious to everyone that this marrige is not working. It is been tried for at least in the past 20 years, and during Yugo the racism in FYROm towards Albanians was going that far that only 3% of pupils finishing elementary school had right to go to high school. Or even a list of banned names i.e one could not name her doughter say Vlora, or the son Ilir.

And if you continua puting fire on a presure pan by keeping the valve closed one day excpect that it will explode, hopefully on the head of Alb reps in FYROMina govt for first.

Indeed. They've been burning and desecrating churches in Kosovo for years now. Burial grounds are routinely defiled. But don't worry. The West keeps telling everybody how unreligious and secular the Albanians are. That's why Islamist Albanians are being apprehended in both Europe and America for terrorist offences. I worked in Kosovo and can think of about 20 Serbian cemeteries that have been desecrated. The most obvious in South K. Mitrovica. While in Istok/Istog all the headstones were destroyed and then STOLEN for their granite! There's nothing there but a field.

One municipality in Western Kosovo installed a water reservoir right next to a Serbian cemetery and the bones of the dead started coming out of the ground. I took a family on a go-and-see visit in a village in Pec/Peja near the destroyed Serbian village of Belopolje and most of the graves were completely destroyed.

It is very important to note that the Islamic graveyard in the Serbian populated North of K. Mitrovica has NEVER been damaged and to this day remains respected.

Now for an anecdote to lighten the mood. I was driving by a funeral one day with one of my Albanian staff in Vucitrn/Vushtrri. The burials are only attended by men. All of the sudden at the end all the men started rushing away from the funeral. My staff member explained to me that there is a superstition in Albanian culture that the last person to leave the funeral will be the next person to die. It was like every man for himself at the end of it as they were all bolting out of there. I felt bad for the old man limping away as fast as he could.

A little impoverished insignificant country like Albania doing what they are. This never would have happened if they would not have received support from the evil empire. Otherwise, they would have been wiped out from the map.

Time for NATO to bomb Skopje and free the suffering Albanians. Also a perfect time for a staged "massacre" of Albanians to trigger the propaganda assault on these evil and genocidal Macedonians. in 2009 an Albanian orthodox monastir close to Gostivar "manastiri mbi gurre" renamed by slavs "manasti bigorski" the library of which contained centuries of documetation of birth, deaths, books, original copies of the books of 19th cent Albanian poet Josif Bageri (born in that area), of the local Alabanian orthodox popoluation. Just few years ago Albanian monks were removed form that monestery and oplaa "accident" happened the entire library is lost now.

According to preliminary information, unidentified perpetrators caused fire which damaged considerable part of the site.
As Albanian I want to condemn the act. I hope that police identify the perpetrators. And I’m sure if they result non Albanian we will not discuss here more in B92 for this topic. But I’m also sure that even police don’t identify them they are just identified judged and punished from Serbs poster here for sure like “Albanian terrorist”

Actually the village where the church got damaged is inhabited my Slavic Muslims - The torbeshi.. there are no Albanians living in this village, last night I read that in Tetovo another church was damaged in Mala Recica which is inhabited by Albanians...

Actually the village where the church got damaged is inhabited my Slavic Muslims - The torbeshi.. there are no Albanians living in this village, last night I read that in Tetovo another church was damaged in Mala Recica which is inhabited by Albanians...

It would be silly for Macedonians to react, no need to burn mosques or take out revenge.. of they do that then they are the same hence the sparks will become a fire..

Time to move away from the tit for tat attitude.. its 2012 not 1912 where %80 of the balkan people were ileterate..

The burning of churches could have been done by a 15 year old boy..

Its simple, if you ignore the extremists they will eventualy go back to bed.. hence no need to throw petrol on the fire..

Bulgar of Ohrid, thank you for your information, but you are too late. The Serbs here in B92 has decided that they are Albanian and nobody can change their mind now. I and you would read after weeks, months and years here in B92, how Albanians burn this church in Macedonia. I hope that Slav Macedonians doesn’t be infected from this phobia that Serbs has versus Albanian people. Phobia is not strength but weakness, is not superiority but inferiority.
