Serbs need to learn what freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and freedom of association are. Just because you don't like a certain group doesn't give you the right to call for bans of PEACEFUL rallies. This goes for the gays as it does for the nationalists, regardless of the names some leftists call them, Nazis fascists etc. It is completely irrelevant as in a real free society everyone has a right to PEACEFULLY express their views, no matter how controversial or 'evil' some may deem them.

Ida,
A group of 500 people walking around 1 block is "extra" rights? If raspberry farmers can do it, why not Serbian minorities?

If this is gravely offensive somehow to some people, then it's time to ask what's seriously wrong with those people.

People exersize their freedom of assembly every day in Belgrade. What's so special about Serbian gays that you feel they shouldn't be able to?

I don't see why people should get EXTRA rights for their sexual orientation, which the gay parade is, and extra state money and risk, which is required for all that extra police protection, for what is just an affront to the vast majority of people.

Nacionalni Stroj is the Serbian wing of "national front" an international, explicitly nazi group.

How could anyone except someone terribly confused associate this as "patriotically Serbian"

Where is the Belgrade Center for Human Rights when the Serbian government bans peaceful nationalist marches by organizations like Nacionalni Stroj? Total hypocrisy. If nationalists are not allowed to march neither should gay groups.

-What happened with those who promised for the Parade 2011 to abduct buses and attack with them embassies and Official buildings? What happened with all those Armageddon scenarios which Serbian extremists and the Clerical extremists of the Serbian Orthodoxian Church promised? Was there a single arrest, Mr. Dacic? None. They won and you coward were hiding or maybe even silently condoning it. 2012 Parade will come, promised!(Commentator, 30 December 2011 11:13)-

yes, except that dacic wasn't silently condoning the violence, he was pretty upfront about it. so welcome to democratic serbia.

and then, even the serbian "justice" system slaps the blgd regime on the hand -- even they can't put up with such crap.

we must continue to fight for human rights, in blgd, throughout serbia, in N korea, russia, iran, even in the west. anywhere in the world. never give in, never give up.

That's settled then, just explicitly ban the parade.

All will be legal then. Sometimes things get overcomplicated.

I guess you understood it wrong: Even THOUGH the ban was not explicit, it court ruled it was unconstitutional. Bad enough that -- not only in Serbia -- politicians make decisions that are against the constitution.
