"The thing you all conveniently overlook is that 99.9% of the delays in the trial have been caused by the defendant. Everyone of you would have been on here claiming he was not receiving a fair trial should the court fail to consider any single delaying motion by him!
(truth, 30 September 2011 21:43)"

Actually, that is a very poor excuse!
If the prosecution had "Any" real evidence against him, they would have used it by now. No delaying tactics would have worked
Seselj was using any and all legal means at his disposal to defend himself against these trumpet up charges in an illegitimate and bias court that has zero credibility.
Hes done a great job at not only defending himself, but also exposing this so called tribunal for the joke that it is!
As he has totally outsmarted them, he will probably end up like Milosevic, dying of "natural causes"

Oh well, at least he'll have time to sort out his rusty spoon collection.

As a side note, Hitler didn't personally kill anyone but I think we'd all say he was a bit guilty.

This really is pathetic. All this time and they have nothing on him, yet they choose to waste time by keeping him there. They must really not want him to return to Serbia, the amount of support and the hero's welcome he will get must terrify them.

Reluctanyly have to agree with you. As much as I would prefer more saner and balanced minds within the Serbian parliament, I fear that the EU+ have strung Boris and co along to their (and Serbia as whole) own detriment. I dont particularly like Šešelj or what he and his party stand or offer (it will only knock serbia back); but then perhaps this is what EU+ want? You reap what you sow

Dr Šešelj has been imprisoned for 8 ½ years although he is accused of killing no one. The Croat, Drazen Erdemovic, who “confessed” to and was found guilty of murdering about 70 Moslems served only 5 years in prison and has been given a handsome pension and new life in the West.

The lesson of The Hague Tribunal is clear: if you are a Serb who can topple the Western Puppets who now rule Serbia, then you can rot in a Hague dungeon.

wtf

That´s €U democracy. If somebody threatens the "stability" of your imposed quisling regime, lock him up as a political prisoner for life and throw away the key. No trial. No media attention.
