The one million Albanians that are living in Turkey today originate from 150,000 people and at a population growth rate of 4.5% per year for the past 100 years. That seems quite normal for Albanians (especially in a pretty much pure Muslim country like Turkey) and 150,000 Albanians following their Ottoman masters after the Balkan War is also not that relatively big number. After all they knew that they would loose their favorable positions that they held in the sickening Ottoman system.

Albanians did work under the Milosevic - only the violent and saboteurs (and Kosovo Albanians were damaging power plants to cause troubles) and those who boycotted/quit for propaganda weren't working in government capacities.
And Kosovo Albanians, before Milosevic, had been keeping both the Serbs and Roma from jobs and they were leaving in the decades before Milosevic.
Albanians would even put their 12-year-olds to work to prevent Roma or Serbs from working.

Also Albanians who were still working in some capacity - be it forest rangers, police, utilities, etc. - were targeted and killed by the KLA as "collaborators".

The Albanian population was steady to growing under Serbs rule and there were also economic problems due to the sanctions and the western sponsored separatist wars is why many - Serbs included - had to go abroad for work.
Plus Yugoslavia has a long history of its people having to go to Germany or some other country for work as the economy was never strong enough for full employment.

My heart doesn't bleed for the albanians what so ever (maintaining that I am extremely sceptical of such figures). In the past crimes have been committed on both sides true, but these figures cannot be trusted, and the fact that over 1,000,000 albanians live in Turkey doesn't constitute as evidence. But lets be frank here and lets look at what is going on now, it isnt the Serbs who are committing ethnic cleansing, but the albanians, be it by killing off the last remaining defiant old couples living in villages to make areas exclusively albanian, or just sheer terror to drive Serbs out. Whatever happened long ago doesn't change the present, stop masking these crimes.

Not necessarily. It is not unusual that the perpetrator and aggressor nation gets the highest bill to pay after its total and obliterating defeat.

I dont want to talk about the 1 million albanians wich were expelled from northern Kosovo and south Serbia after the Balkan wars in 1912.Link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_of_Albanians_in_the_Balkan_Wars

But i would like to mention more than 500 000 albanians have been expelled from Kosovo by the state of Serbia since 1989. This is a fact because albanians weren't allowed to work during the regime of Milosevic. This was a policy wich was meant to expell the albanian population out of Kosovo. That is why half of my family today live in Europe.

But one thing that I'am wondering how can it be 210 000 displaced serbs from Kosovo living in Serbia if 150 000 serbs still live in Kosovo today ? 150 000 + 210 000 = 360 000. 360 000/2 000 000 = 0,18. This means that the serb population in Kosovo were 18 % of the total population before the war in 1998-99 ??

The numbers goes against the cencus wich the goverment of Serbia did in 1991 wich sayes that serbs in Kosovo were not more than 10%.

KOSO,

Stop trying to divert the attention here, the issue here is Serb refugees, if you want to moan somewhere this isnt the place to do so.

Also 1 millions displaced albanians??? Please dont make me laugh, provide some evidence of this please, also the fact that you claim they ended up in Turkey must be a joke, by that logic those '1 million' albanians passed through Macedonia and then Greece to reach Turkey, im sorry but that doesnt add up at all.

"Try looking at over a million Kosovar Albanians displaced to Turkey alone."

If so they are free to go back as Kosovo is controlled by the EU/UN and Albanians whereas these Serbs can't go back to their homes or they will be threatened and even killed.

KOSO, how did "over a million" of your people ended up displaced in Turkey? I ask because I don't know as this is the first time I heard about such a thing. Thanks in advance.
