You threw General Mladic to the western wolf pack but don´t expect anything other than stick & mace in return.

They will digest their war trophy and parade him in their corporate media, "suicide" him in their dungeons and then what? Nothing but more dictates and demands while the BRIC ship is sailing by the sinking €U flotilla....

Serbia will never recognize the crime den of Pristina. Why don't you Albanians clean up your crime-infested garbage from Kosovo? Don't you want to head towards the EU also, or are you expecting to ride on Serbia's coat tails again?

Tadić said that Serbia “should be given the same path to EU membership accorded to another former Yugoslav republic, Croatia".

I get the feeling that Mladic's arrest wasn't Tadic's downpayment for entry to the club.It may have been required for EU PR purposses bu not for reasons of substance.

I think the arrest of Mladic may have alot to do with the future of Bosnia than Serbia's entry in EU.It's common knowledge that the federal state in Bosnia is in terminal collapse and there is a silent war going on in the country.With the arrest of Karadic and Mladic and their certain conviction on genocide charges,the Muslims with help from EU and Nato will contest the legitimacy of SRPSKA and by overplaying the "victim" card demand and obtain new constitutional arrangements which will reign them supreme against the other republics.

The war in Bosnia is not over yet and Serbs should be on the lookout for any announced initiatives or plans emanating from EU.I am certain those initiatives won't be for the benefit of the Serbian nation.

Very simply and eloquently stated. Lets now see if the EU can be fair and keep to its word.

The EU is doing its part: playing us for fools as long as we're naive enough to keep electing a traitor to our interests who'll sell our property for chump change. Sloba had 12 years before we had enough, now it's Tadic's turn to show us his back.

Somehow I get this feeling that Tadic is gonna end up disappointed and realized he has been taken for a ride all this while -- I don't think the EU is in any mood to expand after the financial troubles of a few members ..... and Tadic himself may well be left high and dry when election time comes. But at least he has finally called EU's bluff -- Holland had been a convenient excuse for the EU. Until now that is.

Mladic and Hadzic is one thing and nothing special to discuss. Kosovo on the other hand, is totally different. Its part of a sovereign state according to the vast majority of the whole world. Its obvious to all except the K Albanians that Serbia will never give up Kosovo. And why should they? You cannot suddenly take a bit of land and make it a new country of course. If the K Albanians dont give up, they will find themself in poverty, criminality and alienage forever according to most internationals. No EU, no visas, no UN, no jobs, no travel and no money. Only run by the international community via UN and Eulex via UN res 1244. Thats a fact.

We all know he will be arrested, but one more thing is to be done in order for Serbia to become member of European family.

First, delivering Mladic was and is never a "bonus", it was an obligation which Serbia failed to deliver for around 15 years.

Secondly, we still wait for the extradition of Goran Hadzic.

Third, EU accession or only the preliminary phase is bound to certain criteria which ALL accession states have to fulfill. And what that means some already stated here. No highway option for Serbia.

When I say we demand I mean we deserve it,'' Tadić underscored.

Pick up the phone and call Merkel and Sarkozy and tell them that " YOU DEMAND"

There is not a single realistic scenario in which Kosova is seen as part of Serbia.
Hanging on to Kosova is purely political.

But Serbia is not asking the whole world to enter EU, is it? It's asking EU, whose vast majority support Kosova to be independent, and expect Serbia to do the same.
