This family is being used by Albanian government. They think they will force Marty to disclose his sources once he is put in front of the judge and forced to defend himself.
These poor peasants don't even realize that what they are asking for in damages is petty cash. Obviously money is not the reason, getting him to talk is.

I am no longer stunned by the stupidity of such people who launch these actions. It seems that everybody thinks that anything they don't like is against their 'human rights' when they don't even understand the concept.

Marty is not gonna have immunity for ever... i m not impressed by serbian menthality though, just because those people are humble peasants does not mean they can not go to court against such ''big man with EU immunity'' like Marty...all people are equal in front of law. You never redecorated your house? No body asks permission when changing furniture, or paint the walls. Maybe in downtown you can not change the outside colors, but in rural areas you can change it the way you feel it, since when painting your own house has become a crime anyway...apart from jugoslav period, i mean,back then wearing black trousers and red shirts was a crime, 6 months of prison was the punishment you know ...so Marty brought down CIA, right? What exactly was it...denouncing the misstreatment of potential al qaeda terrorists? With all the problems that we have today, we have a hero who defends the rights of terrorists. And he is spider marty. If Marty is so concerned about human rights violation in prisons, why not go in Russia, CIA prisons are hotels compered to cells where russian journalists stay...

First of all 200,000 euros is a good amount of money to a farm family in Albania, but I agree that money is probably not the issue. # investigations has not given peace to this family. Maybe a jury saying officially that there is no evidence to support these claims will.
As far as immunity goes, who granted this immunity? Certainly not an Albanian court, it can proceed, the problem would be collecting the money. That would probably not happen but these people would still have their day in court and Marty would have the opportunity to prove himself-if he shows up.

What do you think this is? A US civil court where they can sue for damages? I bet someone from over here (probably living in the Bronx) told them they can do this. They have no hope of extradicting him, collecting or prosecuting him. Only in that dream world of yours is that possible. I agree with Peggy, it's an attempt to get him to reveal who his sources are and it's clear as day that these simpletons think no one else will notice. You know they would take those people out. I get upset on daily basis by uneducated comments that show lack of understanding of politics or law. A foreign diplomat who carries immunity is not immune from everything. Dick is immune from receiving a punishment. With that said this lawsuit will find him guilty...the court will hand out a sentence which will be carried out after his immunity runs out. My best guess would be that by that point the Swiss govt will revoke his immunity; in which Dick will be punished by the correct authorities.

If the Kosovan Government wants to serve him justice they would have to start another lawsuit for extradition from Swiss government. It would be hard to imagine that the Swiss authorities would agree to such a thing, but if that will ever be the case than Sir Dick-a-lot will come rot for about 20 years somewhere in Pristina or outside the capital in an unknown prison.

Slandering is punishable in any judiciary system in any culture: with exception being the Serbian where it makes an integral part of the national identity.

Marty sooner or later will have to answer for his allegations which are not underpinned by any evidence thus constituting a slandering. Of course he will not answer in front of a Serbian court for the reasons explained above.

Simply ridiculous. Next time when I get a bill for driving too fast, I will sue the policemen over these claims ;-)
