Slovenia nuclear plant back online

The Krško Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) restarted its production early on Wednesday following an automatic shutdown on March 23 for safety reasons.

Nuclear energy is very primitive. We have so many other sources for renewable energy I cannot believe that we're still stuck in Nuclear.

Windmills, water-current, geothermal energry (just the Balkans is capable of powering all of Europe), solar, hemp... etc The list goes on...

The Japan situation should show us that if they can't handle it, these other small countries shouldn't be able to have their own. We are learning more-and-more over her in the States that there are numerous reactors that could lead to meltdowns with one small mistake. And like Japan, I have very little faith that they would know what to do....or ever tell us what happend.

I never understood small nations having nuke plants. One misstep and there you go--no more Slovenians, or Serbs, or Croatians or Albanians...
