In the states they take child-pornography and distribution INSANELY serious...I would say more aggressively than drug trafficking.

Thanks,

How about in Kosovo, does one still needs to be proven guilty with evidence, before the law is allowed to investigate for any evidence to prove ones guilt?

The CHILDREN are what matter. It is silly to comment on the specifics of any individual legal case unless you are an actual eyewitness to ALL the facts. As an American I can tell you all that Child Services is actually too conservative and does not have the resources to protect all children who need help.Too many people have no business bringing children into this world and then abusing them.I do not know the details of this case but is anybody here willing to bet $1 million that this couple did not do ANYTHING to merit attention from the authorities?I think not.

Good news, finally! Americans really like to blow things out of proportion too many times.

I'm pro Western because of opportunities to improve one's economical status, but I'd never in the world would want an American style system where they just LOVE to blow things out of proportion!

A lot of resentment at Child Protective Services who were following procedures (whether you are a serb or not).

@ Good News - I agree with your comment about it being good news, but it is naive to believe that Serbian parents love or care for their children more than other Western societies.

Serbia may be more child friendly in some respects, but there are many cases of abuse and neglect of various types just as there are, ufortunately, in other nations.

There are no societies of angels of demons; the family system may be stronger which is great but that doesn't mean that kids have things better in other ways.

Congratulations to the couple - but they contributed greatly to U.S. GDP. of the relevant year. Like my father with his >10K bogus bill for 5 hour treatment did to the U.S. GDP in 2005.

Now the prosecutor is doomed - what a blunder and it won't improve his rating.

US justice is nothing more than prosecutor's rating/pay against the defense rating/pay.

Why not lobby instead European idiots to open the European car market for U.S. vehicles? Sell, what is good and what is demanded - not make the bogus crap inflate the GDP.

Great news and not a moment too soon. Lets just hope this family gets back their life they once knew. What American society needs to know is that Serbian families are very close and the love they give their children is not so well known in the West.

Although given it's life back I would think that this family should seek compensation and not just settle for an apology alone.

I understand that these things need to be investigated because the priority is to protect the children. But to separate them from each other as well as their parents, and to take so many months to even look at all of the pictures properly is inexcusable.

This could have been reviewed in a matter of days to reach the same conclusion, and the amount of pain and suffering reduced one hundred fold.

I hope that the family do sue the authorities. Good for the foster families and that there are solid sane people out there to at least counter some of the madness.

Crazy unfeeling bureaucrats!

The Nastić family should flee the mad house that America has become.

Serbia, for all its faults, is a freer and saner society than America.
