Well, it's probably good for Serbs and Serbia that these goons are kept off the street anyway. It was horrible what they did and only horrible people would do such a cruel and senseless deathly beating. I don't think people should sympathize with genuine cold-hearted thugs. They also really gave another kick to Serbia's image.
I don't think they will be missed in society - what good did they ever do? Sounds just like trouble makers who would go on to be losers or criminals.

This was an attack which humiliated and brought shame on the good people of Belgrade. This was an attack that provoked thousands to take to the streets in protest. This is justice.

I agree with that 100%. The whole inexcusable incident was out of character for Belgrade and Belgrade reacted instantly and appropriately. These sentences are at least twice as long as they would be in the UK, but that's definitely our problem, not Serbia's. Remember this wasn't a pre-arranged fight between consenting hooligans, it was a lethal assault against unarmed guests. 1-0 to Serbian justice.

these guys get 240 years and those albanians that killed many Serbs got only a 100 years ,11 years each there should be protest for sure for the albanians to get 500 years.

Are you saying that only the Albanians found guilty of war crimes should receive harsher sentences or do you say that all those found guilty of war crimes in Yugoslavia should receive harsher sentence than those that have been imposed.
If it is the latter, I applaud you, however, from you statement, I believe you only want that for Albanians.

This was not an attack on another group of like minded people. This was an attack on an innocent group who had at all times displayed respect for their Serbian hosts. This was an attack that always had the reasonable prospect of resulting in death. This was an attack which humiliated and brought shame on the good people of Belgrade. This was an attack that provoked thousands to take to the streets in protest. This is justice.

I should be flattered to have an impersonator, albeit not a very good one - hardly the language of Shakespeare, is it, Ilir? Must try harder :-)

"Frenchman's killers get 240 years in jail"

Whereas Serbian thugs who killed 47 innocent civilians in Podujevo in 1999 get 20 years.

THIS IS SERBIAN JUSTICE.

This is correct, same in Bytiqi case. It seems the rule is:

"Do a crime associated with football = receive twice the usual sentence. Do a crime during civil war = receive half the usual sentence"

We can also twist an other way: whom you like to have as a neighbor:
murderers disguised as football hooligans, murderers/rapists disguised as terrorists, murderers disguised as "policemen" or none of the above? If "none", then life sentence to all, keep streets safe.
