"C'mon - and what happens if I break in into a bank? Because MUP, Dacic, Jeremic, Thaçi or KP have no record of my plates."

Did you read the article Ataman? This is not about people living outside Kosovo. This is about people living inside Kosovo. Belgrade wants to issue them license plates and maybe expects Pristina to just stay still. The problem is not you with your hunarian/whatever plates, or cars with Belgrade plates. In fact, if you read the article, but also focus on it while reading it and not on hedgehogs, Pristina's problem is not the plates of Belgrade. Pristina's problem is the plates of Pristina/Gjakova/Pec. Apart from the power of identification of vehicles which would pass to Belgrade, if this is allowed, Pristina will lose some tax money too. The bank is an extreme example. Imagine the mess with fines and parking tickets and everything else...

Ataman

Or imagine the police in Pristina chasing a car with license numbers issued by Serbia. Who are the police going to ask for identification information, the MUP and Dacic? These driving licenses must not be allowed in Kosovo.

C'mon - and what happens if I break in into a bank? Because MUP, Dacic, Jeremic, Thaçi or KP have no record of my plates. Besides you confuse everything together totally - plates, driver's licenses, identification.

And how about these Pristina - Vienna busses? Attach them to an airplane?

If kosovo is an illegal entity
(Dragoslav, 14 January 2011 23:39)

What court ruled that Kosovo is an illegal entity ? Can you please provide a reference ?

as it has not been recognized by the UN
(Dragoslav, 14 January 2011 23:39)

You are a little bit confused; UN is not in the business of recognizing states. States recognize states.

is is still part of Serbia according to res 1244,
(Dragoslav, 14 January 2011 23:39)

and also Kosovo's UDI is in accordance with 1244

then what authority does bajram redzepi have.

This is the first instance of a Serb KPS member failing to follow the order issued by Kosovo's outgoing Interior Minister Bajram Redzepi, said reports.

License plates are one of the ways the state can control its citizens. This is a very provocative decision by Serbia. It is not just the empty words of a fundamentalist bishop/archbishop/priest or politician in Pec. This can actually have bad consequences for the rule of law in Kosovo. If the control of the license plates in Kosovo is left to Serbia, next time the Kosovo Police will take witness accounts it will have to go through the MUP to figure out who the cars belong to. Or imagine the police in Pristina chasing a car with license numbers issued by Serbia. Who are the police going to ask for identification information, the MUP and Dacic? I believe the tug of war began with Kosova's northern neighbor since they decided all of a sudden to issue licence plates with Kosova's towns in them.
You guys love to push your luck as always.

With - as reported recently - merely few weeks of fuel left to heat Pristina - that's what makes you worry?

No, he just has good contacts to Ded Moroz... and a blond, naked Снегурочка is in his bed. He knows, the weather will stay warm till end of winter, not much to worry for Pristina. They have only few weeks of fuel left and heating is 6 hours a day only.

With all the allegations against Albanian officials, ranging from murder, torture, organ-harvesting, drug dealing, gun running, and on and on, and Pristina without a government, some K_Albanian politicos are interested in a tug-of-war over license plates.

"Kosova should include in this census all the Albanians that were chased out by the Serbian occupator. From 1981 - 1999 alone, over 600,000 Albanians were moved in Switzerland, Germany, Sweeden and other countries of the Western EU. If Serbs residing outside of Kosova should be counted in the census, so should the Albanians that reside outside of Kosova.
