Amer,

I can teach you to ask few loaded questions like "please make MPT multipliers public and the entire MPT + MGPT tariff transparent" to ask Estonian government - and realize, they are exactly as much "совок" as during Brezhnyev, just the name and "orientation" is different.

Rest assured: "совок" is not going away, just the biggest "совок" guys/girls know how to re-orientate them self.

In the fact, you can get more transparency regarding certain things (see above) from North Korea - shame on Estonian quasi-"democrats".

I have 100% proof about what I am saying, this is not a phantasy. This is not an excuse for NKoreans in any form just a good example that Estonia is as far from transparency as just you can imagine - and beyond.

And "thanks" them to destroy the entire Baltic infrastructure. Estonian rail became a known joke.

If certain countries already in the Euro group had been as sober about their finances as the Estonians, there would be no Euro-crisis. (Even their tourist advertising is sober: our scenery tends toward bogs and woodland; it's usually cold and/or raining; people are not especially friendly - in general, don't get your hopes up.) The government got away with making a lot of necessary changes - cutting spending, mostly - by saying "we're doing it to join the euro," so except geopolitically, they probably don't actually need to join. On the other hand, considering their geopolitical location, the more ties to the EU the better.

My condolence to the people of Estonia. I was deeply saddened to hear about the death of the Estonian Kroon. I know how difficult this must be for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't Estonia have the LEAST amount of debt of all EU currency countries, and the MOST to lose by joining this socialist megaproject??

Well nonetheless..Congratulations.

Please sign a cheque made payable to all the other poor sods who can't keep up with their own overspending..

I'm can't bare to look at Estonia's self demise...

Here we go again.Another EU country surrendering its currency without any democratic mandate to do so.Politicians know better than ordinary citizens.

Certainly the European Union lost its last shreds of legitimacy when it failed to consult its citizens on the Lisbon treaty and also ignored the rejection by French, Dutch and Irish voters of its porous constitution.

This makes it clear that the purpose of the EMU and its child the Euro was political, not economic because that old rogue Jacques Delors laughed when warned that this turkey would not fly.

I think Delors hoped that any future euro crisis would simply break down resistance to fiscal federalism and allow the eu bureaucrats to accumulate fresh power into a political union.

However, the majority of EU citizens have realised by now the club is just a gravy train for con-artist MPs collecting mega salaries and have their heads in the trough enriching themselves at the taxpayers' expense.

A good number of ethnic Estonians apply for working permits in a neighbor country. It's currency is convertible since 2005, but it's not called Euro.

Thank you Estonia, for many lucky Estonians there won't be vacation because they have job... over the border. Less lucky ones have permanent vacation at home and worker's compensation in lieu of salary.

Don't listen to me, it's just mean anti-Mircea propaganda. EU is the best invention since sliced bread and Euro is the second-best thing.
