Is it really that hard to understand that he prefers the Albanian flag over the blue flag?
(metrod, 30 December 2010 22:40)
=============================

No, it's not hard to understand that, but I think that Berisha will have something to say about that.
Kosovo is not Albania and a leader of Kosovo is really not supposed to have an apatite big enough to want to have an Albanian flag behind him.

(peggy, 30 December 2010 09:06) ''
You should see the Tirana Municipality flag, absolutely nothing to do with Skanderbeg flag! Outregeous! At least Kosovo flag is useful as it has a map on it, so to remind the EU that if north by some accidents is invaded by Serbian troops...then EU is responsible for protecting that meaningless flag... But Munisipality of Tirana flag? Totally outrageous, actually if Skanderbeg woke up just for one day ,first thing would do, would be to force to exile in Naples the designer of that flag...how dare that arrogant of designer place the wolf, the symbol of another albanian prince for Tirana, which is just several miles away from Kruja!...seriously though, serbs miss the point, the Kosovo flag is merely a state flag, not a national flag, the whole concept of Kosovo is creating a state which not only sees the ethncicies equally, but also does not favour one over oanother, despite numerical disporportion, even though 95% is ALbanian population, but considering the tragic histories of past, such solution was needed,it is not about ''albanian victory over serbs'' , and the new flag is suposed to be a pact beetwen different ethncies who give up a little of national pride for the sake of bringing different ethnicities together, so the borders of 1974, that serbs themselves draw for kosovo ,can function nad not be divided among Albania and Serbia...after the illegal removal of Kosovo status by Serbia in 1989, yet both albanians and serbs there are free to wave the flag they want, there is no violation of any laws, i m sure serb politicans in Kosovo pose close to their own national flags as well, nothing wrong with it. Wrong doing is burning a flag, not waving a flag. I wonder how the vojvodina flag...looks like.

Could I suggest that if the man wishes to be taken seriously as the leader of a so called independant state that he might do well to be photographed in front of at least one of the so called independant state's flags. Better still, maybe if he wants to have five flags behind him then maybe a better choice migght be the flag of his so called independant state and perhaps the flags of the ethnic groups whom he so proudly proclaims are given equal rights in this new so called independant and ethnically diverse utopia. Just a suggestion......

The fact that the Albanians believe Thaci shows the naivity of the Albanians in Kosovo. Do they not remember that Thaci said that there would be 100 recognitions in the first year? This guy overpromises and underdelivers but large part of the populace is so ignorant and uneducated that they continue to believe his lies. The Kosovo Albanians live in the conditions they do because of Thaci and his cronies, not because the EU doesn't want to have Kosovo in the EU. Hopefully one day the Albanians will mature and realize this and will stop blaming other countries for their problems and start blaming their politicians.

Underneath of that sentence we see the Organic Hashish Baksheesh himself, and bunch of red flags behind him.

-- If there is a "lack of political culture" and "dissatisfaction with the results", then it's a bit difficult to take seriously his statement that the elections "fulfilled high international standard and were positively assessed by the U.S., EU, and other international observers", considering widescale voting fraud has been cited in at least one-third of all the voting districts.

B92: "Outgoing Kosovo Albanian PM Hashim Thaci has stated that 2010 was a "historic year for the establishment of Kosovo's statehood"

Underneath of that sentence we see the Organic Hashish Baksheesh himself, and bunch of red flags behind him.

I kind of lost here.

1) What that red flag is?
2) Kosovo flag looks different.

I can't imagine, these red flags would be flags of a neighbor country, it's a mistake. Imagine say, Yanukovich greeting Ukrainians in front of Romanian flags. Unbelievable.

What a nonsense! These elections fulfilled maybe standards of a 3rd world country or of pseudo-democracies as Belarus or Iran, but surely not 'high international ones'.

"It is irrefutable that there are discrepancies in election results, but this is a consequence of the lack of political culture and an expression of dissatisfaction with the results by certain political parties which have not won citizens' trust," Thaci said.

Funny sentence! Who is the leader of the party where the members lack political culture and manipulated the elections? ;-)

Will Thaci have the right political organs to form a coalition government in Pristina? No pun intended - well, maybe a little. Or, will he rid himself of all nemesis like he has in the past? Again, a little sarcasm intended.

"It is irrefutable that there are discrepancies in election results, but this is a consequence of the lack of political culture and an expression of dissatisfaction with the results by certain political parties which have not won citizens' trust," Thaci said.

But I suppose he's just having a bit of fun insulting the intelligence of his audience since he's even suggesting visa liberalization by next year, and NATO membership by the end of his supposed uninterrupted four-year mandate as president. Being named a ringleader in a widespread organized crime, corruption, and organ harvesting scandal obviously won't have any affect on his job, right?

Might as well embrace insanity if you can't fight it :)

Speaking about the challenges which Kosovo will face in 2011, Thaci said in an interview for BBC's Albanian-language service that by the end of next year, "Kosovo will be very close to the visa liberalization, and by the end of his (next) four-year mandate as prime minister, Kosovo will join NATO"
========================

Seeing how Greece doesn't recognise you as a country, it will be very hard for "Kosova" to join either EU or NATO.
It's one thing to say this but another to deliver.
How do you expect to deliver on this promise?

Maybe that's the idea: Thaci knows that he won't reach the end of the 4 year mandate, and so --> interrupted --> no NATO membership :)

No, it's not hard to understand that, but I think that Berisha will have something to say about that.
Kosovo is not Albania and a leader of Kosovo is really not supposed to have an apatite big enough to want to have an Albanian flag behind him.
