Let's face it. Without proof we all believe what we want to believe.
If we truly believe in democracy then a man is innocent until proven guilty. So let's not turn into a lynch mob here.

A word of a gangster is so readily believed when we don't like a politician. Maybe this gangster will say whatever is necessary to help his case. Maybe Seselj is guilty but until some proof comes to light we cannot speculate.

That's Serbian politics for you. The ruling elite always attempt to remove the opposition. Whether it's Tadic or Milosevic, it's disgusting. Dirty politics and corruption have always gone to the top. This government is no different.

How hard would it be for Nikolic, as head of a major political party, to confirm the rumor that this gangster brought the alleged assassination plot to police? If the guy said what he supposedly said, let's for forget about the SRS suit against Blic, because the latter did nothing wrong by merely reporting an event that truly took place.

Interesting to see Dacic making comments about Vuk Draskovic getting extra security. I wonder if Dacic had any information about his former boss's alleged involvement in the attempts to assassinate Vuk back in 1999/2000.

But returning to the alleged Nikolic assassination plot, I think Seselj merits investigation. Say what you like about the man, but consider the political culture from which he springs. I've already commented on what happened with Draskovic; we all know what happened to Zoran Djindjic; don't forget about Petar Stambolic; and then, of course, several well-known journalists.

I do believe that Seselj was, at heart, a supporter of Milosevic, and as such, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he were taking his cue from the "dearly" departed Boss when it comes to dealing with guys like Nikolic, who threaten to wipe SRS off the opposition map in Serbia. And Nikolic's defection from the number 2 post at SRS only adds insult to injury.

Who knows what really happened but Jadranka Seselj's alleged involvement certainly gets the imagination spinning. They do allow conjugal visits at the Hague, correct? I wonder what the monitoring rules are like in those instances. Still, a man can whisper something to his wife, can he not?

Highduke don't you think the fact that you (and Nikolic, Vucic) could even think its possible that Seselj could order this means that Seselj should be in a lunatic asylum rather than the leader of a political party / potential leader of the country?

It might not be fair, but I'm glad that Seselj will never lead Serbia. There is clearly something wrong with the man and I can't understand why anybody sane would support him.

There were assassination rumors a month after SRS broke up and they came to nothing. If Seselj wanted Nikolic dead, it would've happened already. In this case, having a gangster give testimony of a plot (to get a plea bargain) is too suspicious to have credibility.
