Nikolić: Serbia pillar of support for RS

I really can't see how people of Serbia will find what Tadic has done unacceptable enough to throw him out at the next election.

Serbia has and always will need Serbs outside Serbia. If that fool Tadic cannot see that then he will be the reason for Serbia's fall.

I urge all Serbs to think about what this man is doing in their name. Wake up now.

If this man gets elected Serbia will be back in the dock and the improved image it got under Tadic will quickly be replaced by that old well-worn image of Serbia being a nationalist country threatening the stability of the Balkans.

The Serbians should keep in ming that they lost every single one of their wars in the 90s while they had one of the biggest armies in Europe.

Nationalims is not the answer for Serbia's problems only democracy and societal reforms can help Serbia move forward. Serbia should respect the sovereignty of its neighbors and work at creating better relations with them which would in turn benefit the Serb minorities that live in those countries.

Any attempts to create conflict will invariably result in a repeat of Operation Storm where Serbs were called to revolt and were later expelled from their homes.One only has to look at maps showing ethnic groups to realize that Serbs have substantially decreased their presence in the Balkans and all because of destructive policies from Belgrade urging to cause instability and conflict. Serbia can not and will not win any military confrontation with its neighbors and knowing that it should work on improving relations and preventing any conflicts from breaking out. By electing radicals like Nikolic the Serbians would only be shooting themselves in the foot and benefit those who want to see a weak and isolated Serbia.

Your claims about outcome of past wars (pre-1990's)...not so accurate, but let us turn to recent past.

Operation Storm was terrible, true, but where was Milosevic in 1995?? I was one who left Krajina and I am no peasant -- I left because we were only 4.000 or 5.000 "strong" fighting against Croatian force of more than 20.000! My friend, it was very different story in 1991 -- that was when Babic has support of "The Boss". Well, "The Boss" turn his back on us in 1995!

I drove with my wife and child to Serbia after fall of Krajina and when we reach border of FRY, not one single Serb welcome us or show any sympathy. They give us the dirty look -- like we betray Serbia or something, and now we come home to Mother Serbia looking for the help. Believe me, after that, I could not wait to leave Serbia forever. I move to US as soon as possible (I been in US now since 1996).

One last thing. You say that Republika Srpska is proof that Serbs didn't lose war in Bosnia. My friend, if US hadn't told Croats and Muslims to leave some of BiH to Serbs, they would take over whole BiH. Nothing could stop Federation army in Summer 1995. If Tudjman and Izetbegovic not stopped by Washington, all Serbs in RS would flee to Serbia and in Serbia would be total chaos. Sloba and Mira would end up like Ceaucescu and his wife in 1989.

as for your personal experience, well join the club my father was forced out of our Serbia by CROATIAN TITO whose men killed all across Serbia - FACT. Your personal experience nor my family's experience changes the TRUTH. The Truth is croats have never been Serbian friends they proved that by fighting with the aggressors in WWI and they LOST historical fact. They fought with oppressors in WWII and they LOST historical fact no matter how hard they try to change it manipulate and desparately hide it. And in the 90's they had the strongest militaries in the world helping them USA and NATO that is another FACT. You give me a 'hypothetical' situation that is not evidence you are in america now so you can stop telling stories and give me facts. Evidence. Here is evidence. Serbia has over 700,000 refugees, croatia is almost completely ethnically pure, so is kosovo, so is muslim/croat bosnia, so is sarajevo. That is TRUTH, now please what were you saying again...

It is called false accusatory attack and well known in psych...tell me how did the Serbs start the wars? Serbs never did, it is the croats who lost in WWI to the Serbs, the albanians who lost in both world wars to the Serbs, the muslims who lost in WWI and WWII and the croats who lost again in WWII. You cannot change the truth no matter how hard you try. And the 90's if Serbs lost in bosnia then why is half of bosnia in Serbian hands? And you call croatian operation storm a victory, if i was was a croat i would be ashamed to call myself a croat they beat a army of young peasants and they made old men and women and common farmers walk on foot and by tractor out of their country? this is a military victory that is the biggest shame ever, a army of cowards. And sarajevo has almost no serbs down from over 100,000 and kosovo has almost no serbs and these are victories. My friend you are far gone on what a victory is - this is SHAME and embarrasment for albanians, muslims and croats. Yes Croatians lost in the world wars because they were controlled by Utashe, who were Nazi allies.
The reason Serbs from Krajina were stopped at the border was because Serbs within Serbian hoped that Krajina would not be lost, and that the world would see 100s of thousands of serbs being cleansed from their homes and do something, but the world did nothing, even today its like it never happened. I'm sorry that that's how you experienced coming to mother serbia, but I have many friends from BiH and Krajina that came to Serbia and received more benefits than Serbia's own citizens. My friend, you can't let anything get in the way of Serb unity, those were tough times and tough decisions had to be made. Put yourself in Milosevic's shoes, Serbs were being attacked from all sides, not easy times at all...
